We see video previewing this week’s “Championship” edition of the show, with Charlotte vs. Bayley in a rematch for the NXT Women’s Title and Adrian Neville vs. Tyson Kidd for the NXT Title in Kidd’s last chance at the title.

Takeover Return Match for the NXT Women’s Title: “Its” Bayley vs. “The Dirtiest Diva in the Game” Charlotte (c)

Pre-match intros before the match. “Bayley’s gonna hug you” chants by the crowd as the bell sounds. Charlotte backs Bayley into the corner and breaks clean. Bayley avoids two charges, takes down Charlotte and gets a 1 count. Oklahoma Roll, a roll-up and a La Magistral by Bayley for a series of nearfalls. Charlotte then knocks down Bayley with a forearm. Charlotte runs into a back elbow by Bayley, then Bayley springs up to the middle rope and hits a lucha armdrag. Series of Japanese Armdrags by Bayley that sends Charlotte to the outside to regroup. Back in, Charlotte takes down Bayley and applies a toe hold. Bayley gets free, then blocks a takedown by Charlotte. Charlotte blocks a backslide, but Bayley with an armdrag into an armbar. Bayley with a series of elbow drops to the arm of Charlotte and gets a 1 count. Crucifix by Bayley for a 1 count. Front chancery applied by Bayley. Charlotte tries to counter out, but Bayley maintains control. Bayley gains a nearfall. Another armdrag by Bayley, then blocks another takedown. Charlotte then blocks another backslide attempt and hits a kneedrop to the back of Bayley’s leg. Charlotte wrings out Bayley’s leg, then wraps up Bayley’s leg inside her own and hits a kneedrop. Another wrapped kneedrop, then Charlotte uses her own knee to press down on the kneecap of Bayley and pulls back on the leg in a weird angle. Bayley tries to fight out, but to no avail. Charlotte mocks the crowd’s chants for Bayley as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial as Charlotte continues to work over the leg of Bayley. Charlotte drapes Bayley’s legs across the middle rope and hits a series of knees to the back of Bayley’s legs. Charlotte goes back to pulling at Bayley’s leg while pressing her own knee against Bayley’s kneecap. Crowd wills on Bayley as she tries to fight out again, but Charlotte maintains control. Charlotte also has a toe hold applied on Bayley while in this leglock, but Bayley finally fights out. Charlotte with a stomp to the leg, then stakes the leg out across the bottom rope and drops all her body weight across it. Charlotte pulls at the leg in the ropes, but Bayley avoids Charlotte dropping her body weight across the leg again and rolls up Charlotte for a nearfall. Bayley with a series of back elbow, then Charlotte runs into double boots by Bayley in the corner. Jackknife Pin by Bayley for a nearfall. 2 clotheslines by Bayley, followed by a double sledge. Charlotte avoids a corner charge and goes right back to the injured leg of Bayley with a chopblock. Charlotte goes outside and drives Bayley’s leg into the ringpost multiple times, then against the apron. Back in, Charlotte locks Bayley in the Figure Four in the center of the ring. Crowd wills on Bayley. Ref counts Bayley’s shoulders down for a nearfall. Charlotte then bridges back while keeping Bayley in the Figure Four, turning it into a Figure 8! Bayley knocks Charlotte down off the bridge, but Charlotte keeps the Figure Four maintained. Bayley reverses the Figure Four, but Charlotte quickly gets to the ropes. Charlotte goes for a leaping kneedrop, but Bayley moves out of the way! Bayley avoids a corner charge, then hits a running shoulder to the ribs of Charlotte in the corner. Flying back elbow by Bayley in the corner, then heads up to the middle rope and hits a flying reverse back elbow for a nearfall. Bayley goes for a slam, but Charlotte slips out and hits a Hangman’s Neckbreaker.

NATURAL SELECTION!! 1-2-3!

Winner and STILL NXT Women’s Champion: “The Dirtiest Diva in the Game” Charlotte by pinfall (The Natural Selection)

Charlotte celebrates her title retention afterwards, then raises Bayley’s hand. The two shake hands and embrace in a show of mutual respect as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial, we are supposed to get a match between Viktor of the Ascension and Hideo Itami, but the Ascension attack Itami before the bell and stomp away at him. Konnor unloads with right hands from the mount on Itami, then Viktor rakes his forearm against the face of Itami. Konnor chokes Itami while Viktor talks trash. Multiple referees come in to try and stop the Ascension, but they then lay out Itami with a back suplex/2nd Rope Front Elbow Drop combination. The Ascension finally leave as referees and attendants check on the fallen Itami.

We see video from earlier this week at the WWE Performance Center with the Jersey Boys training Carmella. Cass says that we are about to see if the “Princess of Staten Island” has got what it takes. Enzo says that this is where the magic happens. Carmella is ready to go as Enzo says he will teach her everything he knows, to which Cass chimes in that it ain’t too much, so this shouldn’t take too long. Enzo says he knows what he knows and that’s all he knows. Carmella says she doesn’t have all night, let’s go. Enzo shows Carmella a lock-up, then has her touch his bicep. Enzo says you can’t teach that, to which Carmella replies with “SAWFT.” They lock-up and Enzo backs Carmella up into the ropes, then takes a smell of her hair. Enzo switches to a waistlock, saying Carmella is a little feisty, then smells at her hair again. Carmella says enough as Enzo laughs to Cass about smelling her hair twice. When Enzo turns around, Carmella nails him with a one-legged dropkick, sending Enzo to the outside. Carmella is happy about what she did as Enzo asks if that just happened. Cass says it did indeed. Enzo says once again not to post the video and Cass says again that he won’t.

“The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin vs. Troy McClain

Corbin nails McClain with a back elbow, followed by an avalanche in the corner. Big right hand by Corbin knocks down McClain.

Backstage, Tyson Kidd says that he has been saying it for a very long time, all I need is one last chance at Adrian Neville, one-on-one. No Tyler Breeze, no Sami Zayn, no disrespect, but no William Regal, myself, Adrian Neville, the NXT Title. This is the opportunity I’ve been waiting months for. The interviewer mentions about Kidd only getting this title shot because of his wife, Natalya, causing Kidd to storm off as we go to commercial.

Backstage, Sylvester LeFort says to the Jersey Boys if they know what they have done to us. Enzo, Cassidy, we challenge you next week to a match and I promise you that we will get our revenge. LeFort asks Marcus Louis if he wants to try on a gray-haired wig and Louis yells out revenge.

The Vaudevillains (“The Artiste” Aiden English & Simon Gotch) vs. Jason Jordan & Tye Dillinger

English & Dillinger start. English wants Dillinger to put his dukes up, causing the crowd to chant that. Chain wrestling early. English is sent into the corner, but he bows at Dillinger. Dillinger charges, but English with a roll-up for a nearfall. Front chancery applied by English. Gotch in, double gut shot and jab by the Vaudevillains to Dillinger in. Jordan in, but the Vaudevillains nail him with the same gut shot/jab combo. Dillinger with a forearm to Gotch, then sends him into the corner. Jordan in, gut kick to Gotch. Jordan lifts up Gotch and drives him into the corner. Back club by Jordan, but Gotch with an uppercut. English in as Gotch with an uppercut to the back of Jordan’s head, followed by English hitting a running swinging neckbreaker for a nearfall. Jordan sends English throat-first into the middle rope. Dillinger in as Jordan with a slam, then Dillinger drops down his kneepad and hits a series of knees to the head. Dillinger mocks Gotch, then hits a leaping stomp to English for a nearfall. Dillinger again mocks Gotch, but English slips out of a suplex, O’Connor Roll to Dillinger for a nearfall. Gotch in, 2 forearms to Dillinger, knocks Jordan off the apron. Dillinger slips out of a slam by Gotch, but Gotch hits him with a back elbow. Jordan comes in, but Gotch lifts him up and does the Airplane Spin. Dillinger charges in, but Gotch with an Airplane Spin to him.

English in, That’s a Wrap by the Vaudevillains for the win.

Winners: The Vaudevillains by pinfall (That’s a Wrap)

The Vaudevillains celebrate their win afterward as we see Titus O’Neil take a seat at ringside for the main event.

Backstage, a doctor checks on Hideo Itami when former WWE star Funaki walks in. Funaki & Itami embrace as Funaki congratulates Itami on his NXT debut. Funaki says he heard you are having problems with the Ascension. I know you are tough, I know you can do it by yourself, but I am here to have your back. Itami thanks Funaki and Funaki walks off.

Back from commercial, we go backstage as Devin Taylor interviews Bayley. Bayley says she is disappointed, but she is not done. I know there are people and there are girls who look up to me and if I quit, then they quit and everytime I get in the ring with Charlotte, I get better and I get closer to becoming the NXT Women’s Champion. All of a sudden, Sasha Banks runs in and nails Bayley from behind. Sasha says poor little Bayley, you messed up your opportunity and when I finally get my shot at Charlotte, I am gonna show the world why I am the baddest boss in NXT.

Main Event for the NXT Title in Tyson Kidd’s Last Chance: Tyson Kidd vs. “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Adrian Neville (c)

Pre-match intros before the match. Dueling chants for both men as the bell sounds. Chain wrestling early. Kidd with a side headlock and a shoulder tackle. More chain wrestling between the two. Neville with an armbar into a side headlock, followed by a shoulder tackle. Neville with a roll-up for a 1 count. Kidd with a leg kick and a chop. Series of forearms by Kidd, then he sends Neville into the corner. Series of chops by Kidd in the corner. Neville fights back, but Kidd with a back club. Neville slides under Kidd’s legs and hits a series of chops. Neville with a back body drop and a kick to the back for a 1 count. Neville with a slam for a 1 count. Kidd rolls outside to regroup. Neville goes out after him and gives chase. Kidd goes to the apron for the PK, but Neville avoids and sweeps out Kidd’s leg, sending Kidd to the outside. Neville goes onto the apron and does a PK of his own to Kidd as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial as Neville has Kidd in a keylock. Kidd backs Neville into the corner, then avoids a corner charge as Neville springs to the middle rope and Kidd sweeps out Neville’s legs, sending Neville crashing into the mat. Kidd with a kick to the back of Neville for a nearfall. Kidd chokes Neville in the ropes with his knee, then hits another kick to the back. Short-arm scissors applied by Kidd, but Neville turns over and gets to his feet. Neville tries to power clean Kidd up, but Kidd blocks it. Neville finally power cleans Kidd up and powerbombs him down.

Kidd runs into a back elbow by Neville, then Neville with more chops. Neville with 2 spinning back kicks to the ribs and a front kick, followed by 2 flying forearms and a running dropkick to the side of Kidd’s head. Running uppercut by Neville in the corner, but Kidd comes back with a spinning heel kick for a nearfall. Neville blocks a German and hits a series of back elbows to get free. Kidd rolls through a Sunset flip and hits a basement dropkick. Kidd with a running kick in the corner, then hits the Code Blue for a nearfall. Neville fights back, but Kidd with a knee to the ribs and a forearm. Neville runs into a back elbow by Kidd in the corner, but when Kidd goes to the middle rope, Neville nails him with an enziguri. Neville goes up top with Kidd as the crowd does dueling chants for both men. Kidd blocks a superplex and goes for a Sunset Bomb, but Neville breaks free and backflips out of it in mid-air, landing on his feet! Neville with a hestitation dropkick to Kidd in the corner, then hits a sit-out powerbomb for a nearfall. Neville heads up top for the Red Arrow, but Kidd grabs his leg. Neville kicks him off and goes for the Red Arrow, but Kidd avoids it, Neville lands on his feet. Kidd charges in, but Neville sends him onto the apron. Kidd goes for a springboard, but as Neville tries to dropkick him in mid-air, Kidd lands on his feet, grabs Neville’s legs and locks him in the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring! Neville crawls to the ropes and is able to reach them, forcing Kidd to break the Sharpshooter!

Neville rolls out to the apron, but Kidd nails him with an uppercut. Kidd charges in, but Neville pulls down the top rope, sending Kidd to the outside. Neville with a head of steam, but Kidd gets back in and nails Neville with a back elbow, sending Neville to the outside. Kidd with a head of steam, but Neville catches him with an enziguri! Titus O’Neil stands up from his ringside seat and then pulls Neville down by the hair! Ref begins his 10 count as O’Neil removes his suit jacket and trash talks Neville. All of a sudden, Sami Zayn runs out and nails O’Neil with the OLE Kick! Zayn wills on Neville as the ref continues his 10 count. Neville just BARELY makes it back in before the 10 count. Kidd places Neville up top and goes for a superplex, but Neville blocks it and then sends Kidd down with a gourdbuster.

RED ARROW!! 1-2-3!

Winner and STILL NXT Champion: “The Man That Gravity Forgot” Adrian Neville by pinfall (Red Arrow)

Neville celebrates his title retention afterwards, then Zayn motions to Neville that he took care of O’Neil for Neville. Kidd is upset about his loss as that was his last chance at the NXT Title as long as Neville is the champion. Ring announcer announces that Kidd has no more NXT Title opportunities as the show closes.
