Bryan, The Bella’s to attend Portland ComicCon on 1/24

WWE & Wizard World issued the following press release:

Daniel Bryan, The Bella Twins to attend Wizard World Portland Comic Con

PORTLAND, Ore. — WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan and Divas The Bella Twins will attend Wizard World Portland Comic Con on Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Oregon Convention Center. The trio will pose for individual and group photo ops beginning at 11 a.m., then sign autographs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and follow up with an interactive Q&A panel at 1:30.

Trained by WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, Bryan competed on the independent wrestling circuit for more than 10 years. Honing his craft on multiple continents, he became well-known for his hybrid of Japanese and American offensive styles that made good use of vicious elbow strikes, precise kicks, spine-jarring suplexes and various torturous submission maneuvers like the “Yes!” Lock, formerly named after martial arts specialist Gene LeBell.

First coming to WWE as part of the inaugural season of WWE NXT, Bryan soon made it clear he was destined for great things.

Training for the competition they’d soon crush (while male WWE fans formed crushes on them), Nikki and sister Brie made their way onto the main roster in 2008 and turned heads whenever they set foot inside the ring.

Outside the ring, Nikki & Brie have thrived as the centerpieces of the hit E! reality show “Total Divas.”

As one-half of the dazzling Bella Twins, Brie debuted on SmackDown in 2008, defeating her first opponent, Victoria, by way of “Twin Magic” — a move in which she and her identical sister, Nikki, secretly switched places. In 2011, the sneaky tactic helped Brie defeat Eve and win her first Divas Championship. Brie and Bryan got married this past April.

A self-admitted “tomboy” with a feminine side, Nikki originally planned to play professional soccer until a leg injury ended her career. From there, she followed her twin sister Brie’s lead into WWE and became a two-time Divas Champion in her own right.

Bryan and The Bellas will join Stephen Amell (“Arrow,” “Hung”), Evan Peters (“X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “American Horror Story”), Karl Urban (“Star Trek,” “Dredd”), Tyler Posey (“Teen Wolf,” “Maid in Manhattan”), and the “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” duo of Ming-Na Wen and Brett Dalton to headline the roster of celebrity guests scheduled to attend the pop culture extravaganza, the second event on Wizard World’s calendar of 24 Comic Cons in 2015.

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, cosplay, comics, television, sci-fi, toys, video gaming, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World Portland Comic Con show hours are Friday, Jan. 23, 3 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 24, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Jan. 25, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
