Show opens with video highlighting the match between Kevin Owens & Alex Riley last week that concluded with a pull-apart brawl between Owens & Sami Zayn, with Owens showing fear for the first time since debuting in NXT.
We see the usual intro, then the music of Kevin Owens hits as he makes his way to the ring. Owens grabs the mic and cuts a promo on Sami Zayn, challenging him to come out. Instead, NXT GM William Regal came down to the ring. Regal says that Owens doesn’t get to do whatever he wants. Sami Zayn then comes out and pleads with Regal to make a rematch between he & Owens. Regal relents and makes the match between Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn for the NXT Title at the next NXT live special, NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable on May 20.
Backstage, The Jersey Boys & Carmella continue to argue about Blake & Murphy giving her gifts and she shoos them off. Blake & Murphy then come in and begin flirting with Carmella some more, but she rips on them for ripping on the Jersey Boys. She shoos them off, then Alexa Bliss comes in and rips on Carmella for not having enough class. Carmella piefaces Bliss, then walks off. Bliss is upset, but then Blake & Murphy come back in and check on her.
Sami Zayn is in NXT GM William Regal’s office, about to sign the contract for his match with Kevin Owens, when Alex Riley storms in and demands another match with Owens. Zayn tries to calm Riley down, saying he knows how Riley is feeling, but Riley lashes at out at Zayn, then asks Regal for a match with Zayn tonight. Zayn accepts the challenge and Regal agrees to the match.
