Brian Gewirtz, who has been with WWE for around 15 years, gave his notice a few weeks back and will be leaving for an executive role as part of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Dany Garcia’s production company, Seven Bucks Entertainment.
Gewirtz said his goodbyes at the 6/29 RAW taping in Washington, D.C. with WWE staff. He was a huge part of the creative team until October 2012 when he was sent home by then head of creative Eric Pankowski. Gewirtz remained under contract as a writing consultant for the main product and the WWE Network. He worked closely with The Rock regarding his television appearances as Johnson requested him to be his writer.
