WWE announced on Monday via Twitter that Kalisto will defend the WWE United States Championship against Rusev at the Extreme Rules PPV on May 22 in Newark, New Jersey. Rusev won a Battle Royal on last week’s episode of RAW to earn the title shot.

Already announced for Extreme Rules is Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in an Extreme Rules match, The New Day vs. The Vaudevillains for the WWE World Tag Team Championships and Charlotte vs. Natalya for the WWE Women’s Championship in a Submission match.
