WWE SummerSlam

Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins has been officially announced for WWE SummerSlam on August 21 to crown the first ever WWE Universal Champion.

During the opening segment of RAW on Monday night,¬†Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley revealed that RAW would be getting it’s own championship called the WWE Universal Championship. Matches were setup to determine who would be facing Seth Rollins at SummerSlam to crown the first ever champion (as noted in the clip below).

Finn Balor and Roman Reigns ended up winning their respective fatal four way matches to move on to the main event of RAW where Balor defeated Reigns.

Already announced for SummerSlam is Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton.

  1. Stupidest name for a title ever, WWE needs to go back to the ways of the 90s and forget about this universe garbage and please change that horrible tag title design.

  2. I’m okay with the name of the title as long as the belt is cool. Although, Universal Championship sounds like something you’d compete for in an e-fed.

  3. So now WWE and WWC will be the only two wrestling promotions with a title that is called the Universal Championship.

  4. Still no one with any character. Just a name.
