Dean Ambrose vs. AJ Styles set for WWE Backlash on September 11, two new championships introduced

WWE Backlash

Following this week’s 8/23 WWE Smackdown on Tuesday night, two new championships have been introduced for the Smackdown exclusive WWE Backlash PPV on September 11.

Announced for the show is the finals of a tournament to crown the first ever WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions and a six-pack challenge to crown the first ever WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship.

Also setup for Backlash is Dean Ambrose defending the WWE World Championship against AJ Styles after Styles defeated Dolph Ziggler in the main event of Smackdown. Had Ziggler won the match, it would have been a triple threat at Backlash.

Here is the updated card as of this week.
