NXT TakeOver behind the scenes

WWE has posted a video giving a behind-the-scenes look at various NXT talent before making their entrance at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II this past weekend.

  1. “I started w/ $7 bucks. If I can overcome, so can you.”

Thanks for the sentiment Rock but very few people are like you. 🙁
We’ll take you up on that Waffle House offer though. 😀

  2. thats why i always respected the rock he is a self made man that earned every penny he got. he wasn’t born into wealth he earnd it.

  3. He didn’t start with 7 bucks… he started out with 7 bucks plus some very good family contacts that got him into an industry inaccessible to the vast majority that resulted in exposure that launched his acting career. Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a fantastic actor and I enjoy his work, but I am sure that there are others out there equally good that don’t have these opportunities. These days, for the most part, it’s who you know, not how good you are or how much potential you have.

I wish that these people would just acknowledge how fortunate they are because of the resources to which they have access that got them to where they are today.

  4. ” If I can overcome, so can you. ”
Unfortunately i’m lacking your looks, talent, and charisma.

  5. Yeah but how many other wrestlers come from wrestling families who all fell flat on their faces?–David Flair, David Sammartino, Shawn Stasiak, Lanny Poffo, Ted DiBiase Jr., even Manu & Sika (Rosie) Anoi’a and Umaga who are all in The Rock’s family. And that’s just a handful of them. Having family contacts in the wrestling business doesn’t guarantee success by any means. You have to have the talent & drive to excel at it which is what The Rock has. I also highly doubt there’s many, if any, others out there who are equally as good as him but if there are someone will notice them eventually if they stay around long enough.
