In regards to the match on ECW on SyFy on July 28 between ECW Champion Christian and Zack Ryder, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that there was some talk internally about how Ryder blew up badly late in the match. Those defending Ryder made sure to note that it had been a long time since he had done a match that long since he is rarely booked on house shows and is only used sporadically at TV tapings. Those backstage gave Christian high marks for carrying him and having a strong match on TV.
