James Ellsworth talks about his future with WWE
Chuck Carroll of CBS Sports passed along an interview with James Ellsworth just moments before he boarded a plane to Denver for tonight’s Smackdown Live where he will face off against AJ Styles for the WWE World Championship.
Ellsworth addressed his current status with WWE and if he will continue beyond tonight.
“I have an idea, but I don’t really know. I don’t think it will be the last you see of me, but I don’t know. They really keep me in the dark about everything until I get there at TV. I have a little hint that it might happen, but I really am 100 percent not sure. I’m just trying to stay levelheaded and cool. I will say this. If nothing else were to happen after Tuesday, man, I did more than I thought I would ever do, and I’m very happy and blessed with how my wrestling career has winded up.”
Tommaso Ciampa on the Glorious Bombs going viral
Inside the Ropes passed along an interview with NXT star Tommaso Ciampa talking about getting inspiration from Johnny Gargano to show off their personalities via Twitter and the now famous “Glorious Bombs” with Bobby Roode going viral.
“So the Glorious Bomb was literally just us riffing in the room about how a Glorious bomb would just be a photo bomb so then we start talking about how we could do it in a gym or a bathroom, or as he enters the ring. So once you get a few out there and the response was insane, you know they were like viral videos, it just kinda took a life of it’s own but now we don’t know what we’re gonna do. We got Ron Simmons who was one of the top guys on our list , we had the wedding thing planned for months and that’s out there, so we don’t know what the next step is. We have a few ideas but how we pull them off is a different beast. We do have a couple in mind which will top what we did in the past, it’s just a matter of time for the stars to align. I think we helped Bobby Roode’s career more than we ever planned to *laughs*”
