The Sun in the UK has an article up at this link with WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler noting that he is thinking for running for Mayor of Memphis in the next elections. Lawler added, “I am going to do some media interviews and see what level of support is out there before I officially declare. I would be an alternative to that since I am not a politician and never want to be one. I will be making an announcement by the end of this week.” Lawler also ran for Mayor of Memphis back in 1999 losing to Mayor Willie Herenton and behind Joe Ford and garnered 12% of the vote.
