According to an article by TMZ Sports, negotiations between Ronda Rousey and WWE haven’t even officially started despite a recent report stating otherwise.
A recent report by USA Today described Rousey’s signing with WWE as “imminent” and that she was already in the process of finalizing a deal with the company.
The report by TMZ sites “multiple independent sources” from all sides noting that contract talks between both parties have not “gotten off the ground” as of yet.
Rousey, the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, has been spotted doing some pro wrestling training in the past year and took time to workout at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. As noted before, she attended the Mae Young Classic, various WWE TV tapings and live events. She has largely been supporting friend and former MMA fighter Shayna Baszler, who will be debuting in NXT shortly.
