Daniel Bryan

Hot 97’s Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg spoke with Daniel Bryan earlier this week to plug the Smackdown Live taping in Newark, New Jersey to discuss his current position with the company and why he wants to wrestle again.

Bryan spoke at length about concussions and why he thinks he’s okay to return to the ring.

“I have worked with some of the best people in the country. I have been cleared by specialists at UCLA that I did not choose. WWE sent them to me because they are the best. A whole team of people – who work with concussions on a daily basis – they said to me, ‘You are fine to wrestle.’ The hard part of wrestling is the travel. The part that I love is being in the ring and wrestling. So now, I’ve got the job where it’s the part of wrestling that I don’t like.”

Bryan also made a powerful statement that if you were to test the brains of a lot of active WWE stars that his tests would show he’s actually in better shape than most.

  1. Wow, that’s a loaded statement, about being mentally healthier than a lot of active performers. I wonder how the ‘E will react to that.

  2. Well they can teach him a lesson and send him to Japan to earn a load of money you can also with the right plaform probably still build a business. as Jim Cornette noted Punk and Brain could fill a 10,000 seat area.

  3. Peter Rosenberg works on the WWE network. All of a sudden, Daniel Bryan lets out on Rosenberg’s radio show that he’s frustrated that he’s not in the ring. Workers are always working. Bryan vs. Shane O Mac at Mania.

  4. I must have missed it, but since when quotes should be written IN F*CKING ANNOYING CAPS.

It is not clear, it is not easier to read and it MUST STOP (oh yeah, and it represents shouting).

    Stop it, really.

  5. I hope he doesn’t get cleared and goes to notable promotions such as ROH after his contract expires. He’s the co founder of ROH and should play a pivotal role in helping them generating big draws and securing a huge tv deal in the US.

His guidance and star power would benefit ROH a lot in the long run.
May God/Allah does the best with him
