Rich Swann

WWE has announced the release of Rich Swann (Richard Allen Swann) on Thursday.

The statement issued by WWE described the release as mutual between both parties.

“Rich Swann and WWE have mutually agreed to part ways as of today, February 15, 2018. WWE wishes Swann the best in all of his future endeavors.”

Swann was arrested back in December and charged with domestic battery and false imprisonment over an incident with his wife (wrestler Su Yung).

Reports made the rounds two weeks ago that Swann had been cleared of all charges. Attempts by Wrestleview.com to contact WWE about this was never returned.

Swann signed a deal with WWE back in 2015 to be part of the NXT brand. In 2016, he transitioned over to the main roster as part of the Cruiserweight division and the start of the 205 Live brand. Swann had a run as WWE Cruiserweight Champion that same year.
