Backstage notes regarding Ultimate Deletion segment

#UltimateDELETION was trending Worldwide and in the United States on Twitter last night both during the segment and afterwards for hours after RAW last night.

Feedback has certainly been mixed on our social media accounts and in the comments section of Mike Tedesco’s recap last night from Dallas.

PWInsider.com is reporting that Michael Hayes was listed as the producer of the segment, while former TNA/Impact Wrestling personality Jeremy Borash was involved in the production aspect (Borash was also involved with the Impact versions as well). Reby Hardy also filmed and edited footage that was used in the build up and from last night.

It should be noted that Jeff Hardy, who made a cameo during Ultimate Deletion last night, was in Orlando on Monday at the WWE Performance Center working out in the ring to prepare for a return to the company. Hardy is scheduled to appear in court on April 16 regarding his arrest back on March 10 for DWI following an accident.

It was also reported by Mike Johnson that the live crowd was not actually shown the full segment and the company instead provided “dark” segments including an appearance by Ronda Rousey that was uploaded to YouTube. Both Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt were reportedly backstage at the show last night in Dallas.

If you missed the segment, WWE has uploaded highlight clips to YouTube.

Big Cass was also backstage at last night’s RAW in Dallas according to PWInsider.com.

Cass was described as being in the “final stages” of being cleared for a return to the ring after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL last August.

While nothing has been confirmed at this point, it’s possible Cass could be cleared in time to make an in-ring appearance at WrestleMania 34 in three weeks.
