WWE NXT Great American Bash Quick Results and Highlights for July 6, 2021

The Great American Bash themed episode of WWE NXT opens up with a video package. Vic Joseph welcomes everyone to the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. He is joined at ringside by Wade Barrett and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix.

– MSK retained the NXT Tag Team Championships by pinfall

NXT General Manager William Regal in the ring with enforcer now, Samoa Joe brought up the issues between between Johnny Gargano and NXT Champion Karrion Kross, then demanded both men come to the ring. Gargano comes out by himself.  Kross then comes out without Scarlett. Gargano told Kross he sucks. A “you suck!” chant started up. Gargano then went on about how Kross is not in his level, which is why Kross tried to hit him with a car last week. Gargano also said that Kross is afraid of him. Regal then announced Gargano vs. Kross for the NXT Title next week.  William Regal named Samoa Joe as the special guest referee for next week’s championship match.

– LA Knight retained the Million Dollar Championship by pinfall

– Io Shirai and Zoey Stark defeated Indi Hartwell and Candice LaRae to become the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions

Tegan Nox made her NXT return to cause the distraction for Harwell and LaRae.

Hit Row’s Championship Cypher comes after the NXT Women’s Tag Team Title Match. Ashante “Thee” Adonis served as the DJ. “B-Fab” Briana Brandy rapped first, followed by “Top Dolla” AJ Francis. New NXT North American Champion Isaiah “Swerve” Scott then performs a song as B-Fab holds held title. The whole group then gathers on the ramp to perform their theme song.
