Joey Gacy update after scary spot
During the match on the show between Oba Femi and Joey Gacy, Femi dropped Gacy with a modified powerbomb. Gacy landed on the mat, very hard on the back of his head. It was at this point in the match, the referee immediately stopped the match.
According to a report Tuesday night from Fightful Select, the botched spot was legitimate and there was major concern that Gacy had suffered a concussion. The report notes Gacy was able to walk to the backstage area under his own power.
Fightful Select said that even though Gacy’s match with Shawn Spears at this Saturday’s Stand and Deliver was confirmed by General Manager Ava Raine, WWE held off with the graphics for the match in the event Gacy is unable to compete.
