“Then. Now. Forever. Together.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

A “Stranger Things” filter appears on the screen as we overlook the Barclays Center. We go inside, and things begin to go awry.

The screen goes upside down. Michael Cole and Corey Graves come out of a radio van. Stranger Things is joining forces with WWE for one night only.

Pre-Show Arrivals

The Vision is shown walking with a very focused Bron Breakker. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk is in the building. Finn Bálor, Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez, and Raquel Rodriguez are shown arriving together. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria are riding a bicycle with a cart. Becky Lynch is also in attendance.

Michael Cole and Corey Graves welcome us to the show. Pyrotechnics go off as they head to ringside.

“THIS IS MY BRUTALITY!”

Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY head to the ring, ready for a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match.

Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY vs. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) (c’s)

Asuka will start against IYO SKY on this first Raw of 2026. They go at it. Sky hits the ropes, and Asuka avoids a handspring. Sky sweeps the feet and dropkicks her out of the ring. Kairi Sane runs in, but Sky sends her to the floor next to Asuka. Rhea Ripley then hits them with a cannonball off the apron.

-Commercial Break-

Back from the break, Ripley rocks Asuka with a strike. Asuka gets out of a vertical suplex, sends her into the ropes, and hits a lifting knee smash. Ripley is knocked to the apron. Asuka goes for a running hip attack, but Ripley moves and pulls her to the apron. Asuka fights out of a German Suplex and regroups with Sane at ringside. The Kabuki Warriors avoid a cannonball from Ripley, and Ripley hits the floor hard. Asuka gets Ripley in the ring and tags Sane in. Sane applies a headscissor and hangs over the top rope for a few moments. Sane goes to the top rope and hits a diving forearm smash for a two-count. Asuka tags in. The Kabuki Warriors send Ripley into the ropes and attack her with strikes. Asuka hits Ripley with a bulldog that Ripley doesn’t immediately fall for, and Sane follows up with a basement dropkick for a two-count. Asuka slaps Ripley and tags Sane back in. Sane goes to the top rope, but Ripley headbutts Asuka away and catches Sane diving. Ripley hits a fallaway slam and tags Sky in.

Sky hits Asuka with some Shotei uppercuts, followed by a Sling Blade. Corey Graves pays tribute to Hiroshi Tanahashi, who retired at Wrestle Kingdom 20. Sky attacks Sane as she comes in and hits the Kabuki Warriors with a double missile dropkick, knocking them out of the ring. Sky goes for a Bullet Train Attack, but Asuka knocks her to the apron and pulls her hair. Sky snaps her off the top rope and goes for a springboard, but Sane pulls her feet, hanging her on the top rope. Sane tags in and comes off the top rope with a double stomp to Sky’s injured back. 1… 2… Sane kicks out.

-Commercial Break-

We return from the break to see Sane applying a stiff Anchor submission, but Sky rolls through (that looked ROUGH) and hits a double stomp to the midsection.

Ripley tags in and hits Sane with a pair of clotheslines. Ripley ducks one from Sane, smashes her face off her knee, blocks a headscissor, and kicks her in the face. Ripley slams her onto her face and hits a basement dropkick. Ripley is fired up as she big boots Asuka off the apron. Sky tags in as Ripley CRUSHES Sane with a Razor’s Edge. Sky hits Sane with a missile dropkick. 1… 2… Sane kicks out! Ripley tags in and hits Sane with the Riptide. Sky goes for an Over the Moonsault, but Asuka pushes Ripley into her. Asuka hits Ripley with a codebreaker, and Sane covers. 1… 2… Ripley kicks out.

Asuka tags in and hits Ripley with a sliding knee for a two-count. Asuka rocks Ripley with some kicks and hits the ropes. Ripley goes to kick her down, but Asuka blocks it and applies an ankle lock. Ripley fights up, but Asuka grabs her waist. Ripley yells, “Oh shit,” as Asuka hits a German Suplex. Sane tags in, and the Kabuki Warriors sandwich her with running knees for a near fall. Asuka tags back in. The Kabuki Warriors hit a reverse DDT/InSane Elbow double-team. 1… 2… Sky breaks it up!

Sky hits Sane with a German Suplex and goes to the apron. Sky tags in and grabs Asuka. Asuka catches her with an inside cradle for a two-count. Asuka hits a backslide pin for another two-count. Sky rolls through a German Suplex and double stomps the Empress of Tomorrow. Sky hits a Bullet Train Attack against the ropes and tags Ripley in. Ripley hits Asuka with a Riptide. Sky hits Asuka with an Over the Moonsault before wiping Sane out with a suicide dive! Ripley covers Asuka for the win!

Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY celebrate big time with the titles. Pyrotechnics go off to mark the new champions.

Backstage Segment

New WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY are celebrating backstage when Raw General Manager Adam Pearce walks up to them. Pearce congratulates them. They thank him and leave. Gunther walks up. Pearce says there are many eyes on this show. No one can take away the fact that he beat John Cena in his final match, but he has no respect. Pearce tells him to show some respect because it goes a long way. Gunther chuckles as he says, “Respect.” Gunther walks off.

Gunther walks through the Gorilla Position and out into the Barclays Center. The crowd boos The Ring General, the man who retired John Cena on December 13, 2025, at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. Gunther holds up a t-shirt featuring Cena tapping out that reads, “Tap out like a …” We’ll hear from him next.

-Commercial Break-

The Stranger Things theme continues. This Chapter is called “He Who Remains.”

Chapter 2: He Who Remains

“The Ring General” Gunther is standing in the ring, laughing as the crowd boos him. Gunther wants a little respect. The crowd chants, “You tapped out,” but Gunther only laughs at them. Gunther wants respect because he made John Cena do the one thing he said he’d never do: tap out like a little…

AJ Styles interrupts and storms down to the ring. Styles gets in the ring and stares at Gunther. Gunther smirks at him. Styles will be retiring in 2026. Gunther says if Styles is here to tell him to give respect, he’s punching above his weight. Gunther says he’s the greatest wrestler in this company, including Styles. Styles goes to speak, but Gunther keeps interrupting him. Gunther says he’s the man who made John Cena tap out like a little “you know what.” Styles goes to speak, but Gunther shouts, “Like a little bitch!” That leaves them with one question: what is little AJ gonna do about it?

Gunther does Cena’s “You can’t see me” taunt to Styles. Styles potatoes him with a slap. Gunther is irate, and they go forehead to forehead. Styles shouts, “You ain’t gonna do nothing.” Styles shouts, “That’s what I thought! Nothing!” Styles throws the microphone into Gunther’s chest and leaves the ring. Gunther is furious.

“The Man” Becky Lynch heads to the ring. She’ll face Maxxine Dupri for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship next.

Backstage Segment

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce is backstage with Ivy Nile, who is upset. Nile says she’s not going to the back of the line for an Intercontinental Championship shot. Pearce says we have to get through this match and figure it out. A furious Gunther charges up, but AJ Styles comes up and asks if he’s going to complain to the boss like a “little bitch.” Gunther says he wants Styles next week. The audience groans. Pearce makes it official.

“The Man” Becky Lynch vs. Maxxine Dupri (c)

Referee: Danilo Anfibio

The bell rings, and they lock up. Lynch wrenches the arm and tries to take her down, but Dupri quickly gets to the ropes. Lynch signals she will be the champion. Lynch goes for a test of strength, but Dupri takes her down and goes for an Ankle Lock. Lynch gets to the bottom rope. Lynch hooks a waistlock, but Dupri does a standing switch. They execute a few standing switches before Lynch gets her in the corner. Lynch walks away and kicks her in the midsection. Dupri reverses a whip and hits a Thesz Press, followed by some right hands. Lynch rolls out of the ring to recover. Dupri goes to the apron, but Lynch sweeps the feet. Dupri does a handspring to stay on her feet. Dupri leaps, but Lynch ducks. Dupri quickly comes back and takes Lynch down on the ground.

-Commercial Break-

Back from the break, Dupri covers Lynch for a two-count. They both go down on a big boot. A “Y2J” chant picks up. Lynch and Dupri start to exchange strikes in the center of the ring. Dupri screams and hits a trio of clotheslines, followed by an avalanche in the corner. Dupri hits a fisherman’s suplex before doing a kip up. Dupri pulls the straps down and hits the ropes for a running knee. Dupri looks like she’s going for a backslide before dropping to the mat. Dupri hits a spinning kick for a two-count. Dupri goes for a crossbody block, but she rolls through when Lynch moves. Dupri takes her down and applies an Ankle Lock, but Lynch gets to the bottom rope. Lynch goes for a stomp off the second rope, but Dupri moves. Dupri rolls her up for a two-count. Dupri applies an Ankle Lock, but Lynch fights out and applies the Dis-Arm-Her. Dupri gets out and applies another Ankle Lock. Dupri shoulders her back and goes to the top rope, but Lynch cuts her off. Lynch hits a superplex before rolling through for a DDT to pick up a two-count.

Lynch sets up for a Manhandle Slam, but Dupri fights it. Lynch tries again, but Dupri gets out. Lynch avoids a big boot and hits a back suplex for a two-count. Lynch goes for an Ankle Lock, but Dupri rolls through, knocks her into the turnbuckles, and hits a German Suplex. Dupri heads to the top rope and connects with a diving crossbody block. 1… 2… Lynch barely kicks out!

Lynch quickly snaps her off the top rope and heads to the top rope. Dupri cuts her off, but Lynch slides out and tries for a powerbomb. Dupri twists out, picks the ankle, and applies an Ankle Lock. Lynch twists up as Dupri still keeps the hold applied. Lynch holds the ropes, which should be a rope break, and the referee counts Dupri’s shoulders down. 1… 2… 3.

New World Tag Team Champions The Usos come out to a nice reception. They stay in the crowd. They thank AJ Styles and Dragon Lee for a great fight, but that was last year. 2026 is the Year of the Usos. Jimmy Uso says if any tag team wants to run up on them, they’re right here. Jey Uso says, “Four letters, one word: ugh-ugh… YEET!”

Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer to have an interview

Jackie Redmond introduces Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer to the ring. She’s in a walking boot. She injured it last week on Raw in the Triple Threat Match. Vaquer says 2025 was a great year and thanks the fans. She speaks in Spanish to the Brooklyn crowd. Corey Graves translates and says Vaquer won’t let the injury slow her down.

Vaquer poses with her title until Raquel Rodriguez attacks her from behind. Rodriguez smashes the injured ankle off the mat several times and sneers at the injured champion. Rodriguez smashes her with a Tejana Bomb. Rodriguez goes to ringside and grabs a chair. WWE referees run down, but Rodriguez scares them away. Rodriguez puts the chair around Vaquer’s ankle, but Raw General Manager Adam Pearce runs in and pulls it away. WWE officials get Rodriguez out of the ring. Vaquer clutches her ankle in pain.

-Commercial Break-

WWE thanks Eminem for the use of Godzilla, the official theme song of Monday Night Raw.

Backstage Segment

Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer is being helped backstage when Raquel Rodriguez attacks her again, stomping the injured ankle. WWE officials run over. Raw General Manager Adam Pearce threatens to fine her until she has nothing left. Rodriguez walks off. Vaquer is in a lot of pain.

Video: Last week on Raw, Penta returned to help Rey Mysterio fend off Logan Paul and Austin Theory of The Vision.

Locker Room Segment

Rey Mysterio is talking with a saddened Dragon Lee. They embrace, and Lee walks off. Penta walks in. Mysterio says he knew Penta would have his back against the Vision because he knows about the honor and respect of lucha libre. Penta says he’s here for Mysterio any time he needs.

Elle Duncan, host of Skyscraper, is at ringside.

Lyra Valkyria w/ Bayley vs. Liv Morgan w/ Roxanne Perez

Referee: Eddie Orengo

The bell rings, and this is Liv Morgan’s first match in seven months. Valkyria quickly takes her down and hits a northern lights suplex for a two-count. Valkyria takes her down, and Morgan rolls out of the ring. Morgan avoids a Wrecking Ball Dropkick and gets in the ring. Morgan knees Valkyria in the face and knocks her to the floor. Morgan drives Valkyria into the steel steps.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Valkyria applying a Mexican Surfboard before throwing her off. They then take each other out with a double clothesline.

Morgan gets up. They begin to trade strikes before Morgan rocks her with a forearm. Valkyria fires back with a forearm and a back elbow. Morgan follows her into the ropes for Ob-Liv-ion, but Valkyria counters with a German Suplex. Valkyria follows up with a tornado DDT before pulling her up for a fisherman’s suplex. 1… 2… Morgan kicks out. Valkyria powers her up, but Morgan elbows out and rolls her up with a crucifix for a two-count. Valkyria covers for a two-count. Morgan clubs away at her neck, but Valkyria powers her up, but Morgan counters with a codebreaker. 1… 2… Valkyria kicks out. Valkyria’s face spiked into the mat, and she holds her face in pain. Morgan starts to kick, but Valkyria ducks one. Valkyria hits the ropes, but Perez pulls the ropes down to get her out of the ring. Morgan was distracting the referee.

Perez and Bayley go at it at ringside. Perez thinks she subdued Bayley, but Bayley changes personalities and chases her off with a chair. In the ring, Morgan hits Valkyria with Ob-Liv-ion for the win!

Backstage Interview

Jackie Redmond is backstage with World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. She mentions that some people are saying it’s one spear and it’s over for Punk. Punk says everyone has an opinion. They can do some Steiner Math, but if you underestimate him, one GTS will put you to sleep. It could happen to anyone.

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk will defend the title against Bron Breakker in the main event of Raw’s first anniversary on Netflix.

-Commercial Break-

WWE puts over the Stranger Things crossover and the Netflix House in Philadelphia.

Replays of what happened between AJ Styles and Gunther earlier tonight are shown.

Next week on Raw, “The Ring General” Gunther will battle AJ Styles in Düsseldorf, Germany. Raw will start at 2 p.m. Eastern.

Bron Breakker heads to the ring alongside Paul Heyman. The biggest match of his career, so far, is next.

The bell rings, and they lock up. Punk hooks a side headlock before hitting a takedown. Breakker grapevines the head, and Punk gets out. Punk hooks another side headlock and begins wrenching the arm. Punk applies a hammerlock, but Breakker twists out. Punk gets out of a slam and wrenches the arm, bringing the Badass to his knees. Punk hits a fireman’s carry takeover and wrenches the arm again. Breakker stuns him with a shot to the solar plexus and hits the ropes. Punk goes for a leapfrog, but Breakker grabs him and hits a powerslam. The dogs are barking in Brooklyn.

-Commercial Break-

Back from the break, Breakker mounts Punk and punches him. During the break, Breakker hit with his lightning-speed clothesline. Breakker sends Punk sternum-first into the turnbuckles. Breakker connects with a guillotine catapult for a one-count. Breakker rolls Punk on the mat. Punk fights out and forearms him in the jaw. Breakker quickly flattens him with a scoop slam and drops a stiff knee for a two-count. Breakker pulls Punk to his feet and hits a standing exploder suplex. Breakker gets behind Punk and applies a rear chin lock. Punk fights up and elbows out. Punk hits a headbutt and claps the ears before attempting the Go to Sleep. Breakker quickly gets out and hits a back suplex for a two-count. Paul Heyman shouts motivation to Breakker. Breakker taunts the crowd and calls Punk a bum. Punk gets to his feet and furiously hits some strikes. Breakker reverses a whip to the corner, and Punk drops to his knees in pain. Breakker backs up and hits a stiff knee to the skull. Breakker grabs Punk, but Punk attempts a GTS. Breakker gets out and hits a fireman’s carry gutbuster for a near fall.

Breakker dumps Punk out of the ring and sizes him up from the ring. Punk pulls himself up on the podium that is holding the World Heavyweight Championship. Breakker gets out of the ring and runs around, but Punk clotheslines him down on the floor.

-Commercial Break-

Back from the final break of the evening, Breakker has Punk on the top rope. Punk fights him off and knocks him down to the canvas. Breakker goes for a Frankensteiner, but he doesn’t hook the head to put Punk over. Punk holds the top rope. Punk hits a diving elbow drop for a two-count. Punk heads back to the top rope, but Breakker gets up and knocks him down. Breakker then scales the ropes and finally hits the Frankensteiner for a near fall.

Breakker sizes Punk up and grabs him by the throat before doing a military press. Punk gets out and hits a DDT. After taking a few moments to recover, Punk and Breakker begin trading blows from their knees. They get to their feet, and Breakker kicks and punches him back. Punk fires back with some right hands. Punk clotheslines Breakker down and sends him into the ropes for a heel kick. Punk connects with a swinging neckbreaker. Punk hits Breakker with a high running knee in the corner, followed by a short-arm clothesline. Punk goes to the top rope, points to the heavens a la “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and drops a diving elbow. Punk signals for the end, so Paul Heyman jumps on the apron. Heyman shouts at Punk and makes a signal to the back.

“Big” Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory run down to the ring. Breakker pushes Punk into referee Chad Patton, knocking him out of the ring. Theory hits Punk with a Stomp. The referee is back in the ring. 1… 2… Punk kicks out. Rey Mysterio, Penta, and Dragon Lee run down and attack. They brawl through the crowd and to the back with Reed, Paul, and Theory.

In the ring, Breakker sizes Punk up. Punk slowly gets up. Punk sidesteps a Spear and hits a GTS! 1… 2… Breakker kicks out! The crowd chants for Punk. Punk connects with a sloppy piledriver for another two-count. Punk signals for the end. Punk lifts Breakker for a GTS, but Breakker counters into a Fujiwara Armbar! Punk tries to counter with a roll-up, but Breakker kicks out at two and keeps the armbar applied. Punk rolls out and applies an Anaconda Vice. Breakker sits up and stares into Punk’s eyes. The Best and the Badass stare at each other. Breakker hits a fireman’s carry gutbuster, followed by a STIFF lariat for a near fall. Breakker does Punk’s “Go to Sleep” taunt. Breakker pulls Punk up and goes for a GTS, but Punk picks the leg and applies John Cena’s STF! Breakker crawls to the bottom rope, so Punk pulls him away and puts the STF back on. Heyman is back on the apron, so Punk grabs him. Punk punches him down and sidesteps a Spear attempt from Breakker, sending him out of the ring! Punk goes for a suicide dive, but Breakker punches him in the face. Punk lands flat on his face!

Breakker goes to the apron as Punk slowly gets up. Breakker goes to the top rope and leaps for a clothesline on Punk through the table! The dogs are barking in Brooklyn! Breakker pulls a limp Punk up and puts him in the ring. Breakker pulls the straps down as Punk stumbles around. Breakker dives for a Spear, but Punk knees him in the face! Punk hits the GTS! 1… 2… 3!
