The intro video brings us to the crowd in Jacksonville, Florida where Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and The Usos make their way through the crowd to the ring as Rich Brennan welcomes us to SmackDown. Roman is introduced as we gear up for the opening match of the night! Commentary talk about Roman’s opportunity this Sunday for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as Alberto Del Rio’s music hits, with the United States Champion being followed closely by the League of Nations. We go back to Monday night when Jack Swagger faced Stardust, with ADR attacking Swagger with a steel chair after the match ended. This led to Swagger grabbing a chair of his own and a stalemate between the rivals, as we find out ADR will be defending his United States Championship this Sunday at TLC against Jack Swagger in a Chairs Match! With that announcement we are underway with the opening contest!

The match starts with a staredown as the crowd chant for Roman. The men lock up, and Reigns hits ADR with a shoulder block. Dolph Ziggler makes his way to the ring as we get ready for this match.

The next week, a rematch between the two leads to Ryback running into Lana by mistake leading to a big attack by the Bulgarian Brute! We discover that Lana was acting, clearly setting this whole thing up before commentary hypes up a two on one handicap match between Ryback and The Ascension later tonight!

CLAP FOR YOUR WORLD FAMOUS TWO TIME CHAMPS, AND FEEL THE POWWWWAAAAH!” The New Day make their way to the ring as the tag title match for TLC is hyped, New Day defending in a Triple Threat Ladder Match against the Lucha Dragons and The Usos. Back in the ring, Kofi has a mic in hand as he begins to speak. Hey, did you hear what happened to LeBron James? He just signed a multi-million dollar lifetime endorsement deal with Nike! This is the biggest deal in the entire world. Xavier asks where the New Day’s endorsement deal is, as Big E points out they can sell kicks, just look at Kofi (who is wearing the finest blue winged shoes I’ve ever seen, mind you). Kofi says his kicks are powered by the power of positivity! Xavier says the New Day are big stars, and what have they been given? They have to defend their titles against not one but two teams, and what is that? Kofi says it’s unfair and impossible, it’s like trying to return Adele’s phone call. Big E says you can forget about Adele, and forget about LeBooty James, because at TLC the Lucha Booties and The Usowowows will be sent back to the kids’ table where they belong, so the fans can witness greatness because NEW…DAY ROCKS! With this, the Lucha Dragons make their way out to the ring.

Intercontinental Championship Contract Signing

Back from commercial, Michael Cole is in the ring reminding us that this Sunday at TLC, the Intercontinental Championship will be decided. He gives introductions, first for the challenger Dean Ambrose who makes his way down the ramp looking confident as ever. He takes a seat at the table as we find out that Kevin Owens’ attorney, Matthew Douglas, who gives Cole a message basically saying that Kevin Owens will not be at SmackDown, so he has been given power of attorney to handle the contract signing. Douglas signs the contract as Ambrose begins speaking, saying this is a very adult moment and he feels underprepared. He thought he would come out here, belittle your client, flip this table over, we’d get into a fight, and one of us would come out on top, likely him. I may not be verse legalese, but you have no jurisdiction in MY ring and I can do all of those things anyway so I’m just gonna sign this thing. As he starts to sign, Owens shows up to blindside Ambrose with an attack. He lays into the challenger, throwing Ambrose into the barricade as he yells at him. Things turn around when Ambrose sends Owens into the steel steps, and Owens retreats into the ring throwing his attorney into Ambrose, who inadvertently lays the man out with a clothesline as Owens retreats up the ramp. Ambrose is so frustrated that he hits the Dirty Deeds on the attorney, as Owen just calls Ambrose a bully. Ambrose signs the contract as his music plays, the challenger staring right into the eyes of the champion as we get hyped (AND STAY HYPED) about the main event eight man tag match later tonight. Backstage, Ryback is walking as we go to commercial.

Paige takes a breather in the corner before kicking Becky down for a nearfall. Becky in the corner as Paige hits her and sets her up on the ropes for a knee to the face. Back in the ring, Becky is trying to turn things around but gets a knee to the face as Paige gets a nearfall. She locks in a straitjacket hold but Becky powers out, hitting some elbows and a right hand before landing a dropkick and an exploder suplex…but Paige ducks out of getting hit in the corner and both women are down.
