Velvet Sky

TNA issued the following statement on Friday night confirming the departure of Velvet Sky (Jamie Lynn Szantyr) from the roster following the latest set of Impact Wrestling tapings in Orlando from Universal Studios.

IMPACT WRESTLING today announced a mutual decision with TNA Knockouts veteran Velvet Sky to not renew her agreement.

Sky’s final in-ring appearance with TNA occurred in Orlando earlier today and will broadcast on an upcoming episode of IMPACT WRESTLING seen Tuesday nights at 9/8c on Pop.

‘This has been my home for 10 years and, no matter what happens in my future, I will never forget where I’ve come from or the people who have helped me get where I am,’ said Sky. ‘Thank you to everyone at TNA – from talent to production to crew -who has helped me do what I love.’

Sky is best known as being part of The Beautiful People stable in TNA with Angelina Love and Madison Rayne. She had originally left the company last January and then made a return to television in May 2015.

  1. Another big loss for TNA. News just gets worse & worse for them. Since her boyfriend Bubba Ray is now in WWE I guess it was only a matter of time but still.

  2. Have you seen her in the ring? Nice to look at but not a “good” wrestler by any stretch of the imagination.

  3. If it ain’t WWE having a superstar injured it’s TNA having one released. At least the injured superstars will most likely return to WWE despite not having the same success as before but for TNA to lose another superstar is just bad for their company.

  4. Sure it is. They’re losing yet another wrestler whose name has become synonymous with TNA at a time when they need all the star power they can muster.

  5. ECCCHH!! Dude! Velvet Sky may not be on the level of Trish Stratus or Lita but she’s certainly better than that no-talent skank.

  6. I just hope the sale of TNA goes through soon, so there can be stability in the company, and they can start to attract guys and girls who will soon be free agents like Wade Barrett and Ryback. And maybe even convince former stars like MVP to give the company another shot. Also Titus O’neil would be a great pick-up. And also stability would stop the flow of home grown stars from marching out the door.

  7. “Mutual Decision” huh?

    We don’t have any money.
But I’m an employee, you’re supposed to pay me.
    Well…. we can’t….
    ….well then….

  8. How is TNA still going? Because they have a Panda in their tank………. which doesn’t mean very much apparently
