“Then. Now. Forever.” The WWE video leads us into the show.

We see live shots of fans waiting in line to get into the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. We then go live into the Superdome to see a mostly filled in crowd. Renee Young is leading the panel with Booker T, JBL, and David Otunga. The fans are chanting their names, including Renee Young’s, which seems to make her quite pleased. They then rundown the WrestleMania card.

Video Package: Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

The Kickoff panel breaks down their thoughts on this match. Booker T foresees a disaster with Daniel Bryan participating in this match. JBL agrees, but is excited he’s going all in and rolling the dice.

Sam Roberts is outside with the WWE Universe. The people are chanting, “Rusev Day.” Roberts says this is quite possibly the most loaded card in WrestleMania history. Roberts then talks about how this is free for new subscribers to the WWE Network.

Back in the Superdome, John Cena is seated at ringside with the WWE Universe. Cena is shaking hands with fans and taking photos.

The Kickoff panel offers their thoughts on this. They’re excited about this match and harp on the “dream match” aspect of it.

Video Package: Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon and Triple H

They talk about Ronda Rousey being the baddest woman on the planet. The panel believes she’ll be ready for the pressure, but JBL and Booker T believe she’ll lose at WrestleMania. David Otunga is the only one that thinks Rousey and Angle can win.

Video Package: Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka — Smackdown Women’s Championship

The Kickoff panel starts talking about this match, but Money in the Bank winner Carmella walks up. She can’t believe they’re not talking about her. Carmella says her failed cash-ins are all part of her plan. She may or may not cash in tonight, depending on how tired she is from winning the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.

The André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy is at ringside. Jerry “The King” Lawler, Byron Saxton, and Jim Ross will call this match.

André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Participants: Dolph Ziggler, Mojo Rawley, Baron Corbin, Goldust, Mike Kanellis, Curt Hawkins, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Scott Dawson, Dash Wilder, Apollo, Titus O’Neal, Viktor, Konnor, R-Truth, Rhyno, Heath Slater, Tye Dillinger, Tyler Breeze, Fandango, Shelton Benjamin, Chad Gable, “WOKEN” Matt Hardy, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Sin Cara, Kane, Aiden English

Everyone is already in the ring. A massive brawl breaks out at the sound of the bell. Curt Hawkins gets Heath Slater over the top rope, but he hangs on. Aiden English is first eliminated by Zack Ryder. Dolph Ziggler is nearly eliminated, but he hangs on. Konnor from The Ascension is eliminated, as is Curt Hawkins. The losing streak continues. Goldust eliminates R-Truth and does a dab. JR goes, “The Bizarre One is now a dabber.” Primo skins the cat, but he’s immediately thrown back over. Mike Kanellis is thrown out by Sin Cara. Scott Dawkins goes to eliminate Sin Cara, but he stops to pull his partner Dash Wilder back into the ring. JR talks about Rhyno moving into the “Super-Heavyweight” category. Rough. There are no NXT names in this match. Tyler Breeze is put on the apron, and Shelton Benjamin kicks him off to eliminate him. Rhyno puts Viktor on the top rope and pushes him off to eliminate him. “WOKEN” Matt Hardy bounces Goldust off the turnbuckles and shouts, “WONDERFUL!” Dolph Ziggler is hanging on the apron every time he’s shown on the camera. Zack Ryder avoids a Stinger Splash from Ziggler and goes for a running boot, but Mojo Rawley intercepts and eliminates him. Chad Gable eliminates Karl Anderson with a rolling heel kick. Titus O’Neal puts Luke Gallows on the apron and eliminates him with a big boot. O’Neal does his taunt.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see The Revival eliminate Apollo. The Revival gets Shelton Benjamin on the apron. Benjamin tries to German Suplex Wilder off, but Dawson knocks him off. The Miztourage eliminates The Revival, and The Revival is eliminated by Kane. Rhyno was also eliminated.

John Cena is shown watching at ringside as a fan.

Kane eliminates Fandango with one uppercut. Slater boots Baron Corbin back, but Corbin sends him head-first into the ring post. The cameras missed Corbin throwing Sin Cara over the top rope and onto some eliminated competitors. Corbin and Kane go face-to-face before the rest of the competitors attack. O’Neal starts running through people. Ziggler counters a fall-away slam from him and superkicks him. Ziggler then clotheslines him over the top rope and nearly goes over himself, but he hangs on. O’Neal is gone. Goldust starts making a comeback and goes for Shattered Dreams on Tye Dillinger. Ziggler cuts him off, but Goldust gets the better of him and sets him up for Shattered Dreams. Goldust then hits Shattered Dreams on Dillinger. Goldust goes for it on Ziggler, but Ziggler gives him a back body drop over the top rope to eliminate him. Loud “DELETE” chants as Hardy attacks him from behind. Hardy and Dillinger go face-to-face and have dueling “10” and “DELETE” chants. Hardy then eliminates him. Kane takes Hardy out and goes for a Chokeslam on Ziggler. Ziggler gets out and superkicks him. Ziggler jumps on Kane’s back, but Kane pulls him off to eliminate him. Corbin then eliminates Kane.

The final three are Hardy, Corbin, and Rawley. Rawley attacks all three before slamming Hardy down. The crowd is booing him. Corbin and Rawley stand over Hardy. They then begin double-teaming him. They go to eliminate him, but Bray Wyatt’s video flashes on the screen. The lights go out. When the come back on, Bray Wyatt is in the ring. Wyatt sends Rawley into Hardy, who throws him over the top rope. Rawley lands on the floor with a thud. Corbin attacks Wyatt from behind and hits the End of Days. Hardy then eliminates Corbin! It’s down to Hardy and Wyatt. The bell rings because Bray Wyatt is not a legal entrant.

Winner: “WOKEN” Matt Hardy

Hardy claps for himself and gets the crowd going. Hardy then looks at Wyatt, who is getting to his feet. A “Thank you Wyatt” chant picks up. Hardy claps along with him. Hardy and Wyatt then embrace in the ring! John Cena looks confused by what is transpiring. Hardy and Wyatt then pose in the ring. Hardy then goes outside and “talks” to André the Giant’s likeness on the trophy.

We’re going to the live feed on the USA Network for the next half of the WrestleMania Kickoff Show. Peter Rosenberg replaces JBL on the Kickoff Panel.

Drake Maverick, General Manager of 205 Live, is at ringside. Vic Joseph and Nigel McGuinness are on commentary.

Cruiserweight Championship
Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali

The bell rings and both men look elated. The crowd gives them a nice hand. They slap hands and circle the ring. Ali hooks a waistlock, but Alexander turns it and takes him down. Ali fights up, but Alexander shoulder blocks him down. Ali hits the ropes, and they do some counters before Ali hits a hurricanrana. They lock up and tussle into the corner. They shove each other before Alexander kicks him down. Alexander sends him into the ropes, but he lowers his head and eats a kick. Alexander hits a head-scissor takeover followed by a dropkick for a two count. Alexander then works on the arm. Ali fights up and dropkicks him down. Ali charges, but Alexander blocks a kick and knocks him to the floor. Alexander then hits him with a beautiful summersault plancha. Alexander looks at the Cruiserweight Championship at ringside before getting him in the ring for a two count. Alexander then applies a grounded bearhug. Ali fights up, but Alexander slams him with an uppercut before hitting a high back body drop for a two count. Alexander goes back to the bearhug, but Ali elbows out. Alexander clubs him down and chops the chest. Ali counters a suplex, but Alexander knees him in the midsection. Ali makes a comeback with a pair of clotheslines and a chop. Ali kicks him back in the corner and slings himself into the ring for a sit-out face-buster for a two count. Alexander quickly blocks a kick and uppercuts him. Ali hits him with a spinning heel kick, but Alexander stands on his feet. Ali charges, but Alexander takes him out with a Spanish Fly. They’re both down.

The crowd gives them a polite hand. We’re apparently coming back from a USA Network commercial break. Ali boots Alexander back and goes for a tornado DDT, but Alexander stops it. Alexander then crotches him on the top rope. Alexander gets him on the second rope and goes for a Lumbar Check, but Ali fights it. They’re duking it out and both are in a precarious position. Ali then hits Alexander with a Spanish Fly off the top rope! John Cena looks on in disbelief as a fan at ringside. Ali covers Alexander for a near fall. They take their time getting up. Ali sets him up in the corner, but Alexander fights him. Ali goes to the top rope for the 054, but Alexander pushes him off and he lands flat on him face at ringside!

Alexander gets Ali in the ring and covers for a near fall. Alexander signals for the end and kicks him back. Alexander goes for the Lumbar Check, but Ali flips through and hits a reverse hurricanrana! Alexander looks out of it. Ali springboards off the second rope with a tornado DDT! Ali goes to the top rope and hits the 054 Splash, but Alexander gets his foot on the bottom rope. Ali yells at Alexander to stay down. Ali stomps away at Alexander and goes for a second 054 Splash, but Alexander rolls out of the way. They meet in the middle of the ring, and Alexander elbows him in the face. Alexander hits a second back elbow. Alexander says this is enough, but Ali gets to his feet. Alexander then hits a third back elbow. Alexander hits the Lumbar Check to become the new Cruiserweight Champion.

Winner and new Cruiserweight Champion: Cedric Alexander

John Cena gives him a standing ovation at ringside. Drake Maverick gets in the ring and hands Cedric Alexander the Cruiserweight Championship before hugging him.

-Commercial Break-

Charly Caruso interviews John Cena at ringside sitting with the fans, and he’s pumped up to be there. Cena points out some friends he’s made in his section.

We’re less than 35 minutes from the start of WrestleMania 34.

The Kickoff Panel then covers the matches on the main card of WrestleMania.

Lilian Garcia is in the ring to announce the next match. WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix is on commentary. Paige is also on commentary. They acknowledge her injury, and Paige says, “Hopefully next year, yeah.”

WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

The bell rings, and Carmella starts talking trash. All the women attack her before sending her over the top rope to the apron. Sonya Deville kicks her and shoves her off the apron to eliminate her. Dana Brooke is next to be surrounded. She shoves Natalya, who shoves her back. They attack Brooke before Mandy Rose eliminates her. Absolution talks trash, and the rest of the women turn on them. A brawl then breaks out between all women. Peyton Royce and some NXT women rookies wipe out the playing field, but no eliminations are made. Mandy Rose is eliminated. Natalya concentrates on Bayley in the corner. Bianca Belair goes to the top rope and waits for her move to be set up. Belair hits a 450 Splash on Deville. Deville is eliminated.

-Commercial Break-

Kairi Sane has been eliminated over the break. Lana is eliminated. Kevita Devi gets eliminated as well. The Riott Squad eliminates Taynara Conti. Lynch attacks Belair, but Belair hits her with her hair. Lynch soon eliminates Belair. Dakota Kai kicks Lynch before attacking Naomi. Banks then sidesteps a kick from Kai and eliminates her. Ruby Riott eliminates Mickie James. Peyton Royce is next to go. The Riott Squad is standing tall. The Riott Squad and Natalya attack Bayley and Banks. Natalya poses, so The Riott Squad turns on her. Natalya comes back with a double suplex on Logan and Riott. Bayley and Banks then team up to eliminate Natalya. Banks and Bayley eliminate Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott. Sarah Logan gets Banks on the apron, but Bayley eliminates her.

It’s down to Sasha Banks and Bayley. The crowd seems pleased with this. Bayley then grabs Banks and eliminates her to win the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal. However, Naomi was never eliminated! The crowd likes this. Bayley runs, but Naomi hits the Rear View! Naomi then eliminates Bayley to officially win the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal!

Winner: Naomi

Naomi celebrates her win big time before going outside and claiming her WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal Trophy.
