Harper sets up for a sit-out powerbomb on the edge of the ladder, but Ziggler counters into a face-buster! Harper falls out of the ring and gets to his feet. Harper stumbles around ringside before Ziggler takes him out by throwing the ladder out of the ring and into his head!

Santino Marella’s music hits, and the General Manager for the evening makes his way to the stage. Santino says Smackdown is off to a rousing start. These two with their fascination of ladders has given him an “ah-ha” moment. They will face each other in a Ladder Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at TLC!

Seth Rollins, Big Show, Kane, and J&J Security are seen walking backstage. They’ll be out, next.

-Commercial Break-

Seth Rollins, Big Show, and Kane address their WWE TLC matches

Seth Rollins, Kane, Big Show, and J&J Security are in the ring. The crowd boos them as Rollins says it is almost that time of year again. A “You sold out” chant breaks out. Rollins laughs it off before saying he’s not talking about the wretched, awful, terrible holiday Christmas. Rollins hates Christmas. Rollins says he’s talking about WWE’s version of a demolition derby, the annual PPV TLC. Tables, Ladders, and Chairs, but this year, it’s Tables, Ladders, Chairs, and Stairs. Big Show smirks.

At TLC, he will be competing in a Tables Match against the beloved superhero, John Cena with the provision of the match being that if Cena loses, which he will, he will lose his status as number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. That excites him to no end that he can be the one to take away every single thing that John Cena has been working for. The best part is he doesn’t have to make Cena tap out, even though he could. He doesn’t have to pin Cena’s shoulders to the mat like he did at Survivor Series. All he has to do is what he did to John Cena this past Monday night. All he has to do is put Cena through a table. Just like that, everything he has worked for is up in smoke. It won’t just be Cena and the table that are broken, it’ll be his spirit. When he comes to, he’ll realize that he is the one and the future and everything Cena worked for is gone. Rollins says it’s like a demolition derby with the key word being demolish. At TLC, he’ll have tables in the ring, around the ring, and up and down the aisle. Cena will fall to him and not only lose his status as number one contender, he’ll also get some splinters in his butt along the way. Rollins laughs evilly.

Big Show says that is funny. The crowd boos him and chants, “You sold out.” Big Show says he’s been in the WWE for a long time. He’s had thousands of matches: chair matches, table matches, ladder matches, hardcore matches, and lumberjack matches. This is his first Steel Stairs Match. What does that mean? That means he can, as a giant, can swing those chairs into his opponent, Erick Rowan. Big Show then goes outside the ring, grabs the top half of the steel stairs and slams them on the lower half and the ring post a bunch of times. Big Show gets back in the ring, and he warns the crowd to not kid themselves. That’s a giant swinging those stairs. He doesn’t care is Rowan is a genius or can play classical guitarist. None of that prepares him for what he’ll do to him at TLC. There will be Steel Stairs, but Rowan won’t be climbing them. He’ll be eating them.

Kane says, “Speaking of eating, that would bring us to Ryback, whose favorite expression is ‘Feed me more.'” Kane says when he faces Ryback in a Chairs match, the only thing he’ll be fed is chair after chair after chair after chair.

Santino Marella’s music hits, and the General Manager for the evening comes out to the stage. Santino tells them to take it easy. The WWE Universe comes first when he runs Smackdown, which he’s doing tonight. In tonight’s main event, it will be Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins and his friend Big Show versus Ryback and his partner, Erick Rowan.

A replay is shown of The Miz talking to Naomi about her twerking before giving her the card of a Hollywood producer. Later on RAW, Jimmy Uso slapped the taste out of The Miz’ mouth before warning him to stay away from his wife. On Main Event, The Miz apologized to Jimmy Uso for taking his goodwill gesture the wrong way. Miz thinks she’s extremely talented. Miz wonders if Jimmy is jealous that Miz can help his wife’s career more than he can. They then brawled.

Winners by Pinfall: The New Day
Match Rating: *

Gold and Stardust appear on the titantron. Stardust says the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Stardust asks where the bright side is that The New Day speaks of. They’ve been searching and can only see a never-ending abyss of darkness. Goldust says they’ve been awakened. Their positive message means nothing to them. Here’s a message for them: Darkness falls on The New Day.

Xavier Woods starts off with some insults, but he calms down. What they don’t understand or comprehend is that darkness will not prevail. When they’re together, no force in the cosmos can hold them back. Kofi Kingston says that’s what The New Day is all about. They’re about unity, strength, intelligence, camaraderie, and trust. If they have a problem with that, they’ll take the latex wearing cosmos cowboys back to wherever they came from. Big E says (like a Southern preacher) the power that flows through their veins will be felt. They then dance in the ring.

Ryback and Erick Rowan will face Seth Rollins and Big Show in tonight’s main event.

The commentators talk about the attack on Zeb Colter on RAW. Colter sustained a severe leg injury and is out indefinitely. A replay is shown of Jack Swagger responding to Rusev’s attack on Colter on WWE Main Event. Swagger says everything he does will be to take that United States Championship off his waist.

Rusev will face Dean Ambrose, next.

-Commercial Break-

Dean Ambrose makes his way to the ring and grabs a microphone. Ambrose wants to let the crowd in on a little secret: he really enjoyed himself this past Monday night. He really took great, sick pleasure in destroying Bray Wyatt’s stupid rocking chair. He can tell by the tears in Wyatt’s eyes that the chair held a special place in his heart. Maybe Sister Abigail herself used to rock back and forth in it. Maybe grandma sat in the chair on the porch spitting in her spittoon. Maybe he got it from the local Cracker Barrel.

What he does know is that chair was a symbol to Wyatt. Now it’s a symbol to him because it symbolizes what he’ll do to him at TLC. Wyatt thought he was going to pick him apart piece by piece, but that hasn’t worked out. Just like he did to that chair, he’ll pick Wyatt apart piece by piece and destroy him. He’ll do that with tables, ladders, and chairs. Ambrose says, “The mind games are over!”

Rusev’s music hits, and he comes out to the stage with Lana. They stay at the top of the stage. Lana says tonight is Ambrose’s lucky night because his destruction has been delayed. Rusev will not be competing tonight. Lana says we can thank the cowardly American Jack Swagger for that. A replay is shown of Swagger attacking Rusev on RAW. Lana says they will no longer be subject to American intimidation. The entire country is full of cowards. Americans are opportunists. Lana says America is weak and their mere existence is just a disgrace in the world. Rusev says, “Jack Swagger, I will snap every bone in your body, just like I did to the old man Zeb Colter. This United States Championship belongs to me, I Rusev. It belongs to Mother Russia.”

Ambrose apologizes for tuning them out a long time ago. He tuned them out after Lana said Rusev wouldn’t be competing. Ambrose tells Lana to stop shooting him flirtatious looks because he’s here to fight. He’ll fight Rusev right now, injury or not.

Ambrose leaves the ring and starts walking toward them when Bray Wyatt attacks him from behind! Wyatt throws him into the barricade and grabs a steel chair. Ambrose quickly attacks him, but Wyatt clubs him down and sends him into the metal of the ring apron. Wyatt then smacks the chair off his back. Wyatt then puts the edge of the chair on Ambrose’s throat and slams him down on the steel steps! Ambrose clutches at his throat and struggles to breathe as Wyatt looks on, smiling.

Doctors and referees run down to check on Ambrose. Wyatt kicks him before being backed up by the referees. Wyatt then walks off to the back, as Ambrose is loaded onto a stretcher. Replays are shown of Wyatt’s attack on Ambrose. Ambrose is then wheel off to the back on the stretcher.

-Commercial Break-

The Miz and Damien Mizdow make their way to the ring. The crowd boos Miz, and he thanks them. Miz wants to know what is the matter with Jimmy. Is it insecurity or jealousy? Miz doesn’t know. He’s trying to help his wife with an agent. This is an agent from the same agency that made Kate Upton. Miz says the agent loves Naomi. He loves her looks and voluptuous body. The agent thinks Naomi is a star and is hot.

The Usos make their way to the ring, and the referee holds Jimmy back from attacking Miz. Jimmy is really fired up.

Miz hits a running kick to the head before talking some trash. Miz elbows him in the shoulder a few times before applying a chin lock. Mizdow is mimicking everything at ringside. Jey fights up and applies a side headlock of his own. Miz sends him to the corner, but Jey slingshots over him and hits a Samoan Drop. Jey goes for a running hip bump, but Miz moves. Jey brings him into the ring the hard way, and Mizdow mimics that. That distracts Jey, allowing Miz to hit the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.
