The show opens with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins walking around backstage with a smile on his face. That smile goes away when he sees Kane backstage and asks what he is doing here bringing up how Kane was suspended. “Was suspended, on RAW, but I’m back now,” says Kane. Rollins says Kane better enjoy his last Smackdown because after he beats “The Demon” on Sunday at Hell in a Cell, he is gone. Kane suggests they get to see Rollins in action and he will be kicking off the show tonight. He adds that Rollins better not bail on the match because “you never know who will show up to stop you.”

Kane walks off and runs into The New Day. New Day isn’t happy. Big E talks about Xavier Woods getting put through a table by those “disgusting Dudley’s.” Kofi says they are three unicorns and now you only see two unicorns. Kane plays the world’s smallest trombone for them. He said he can’t have New Day moping around and books New Day vs. Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns later tonight.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is out to kick off the show.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro

Lock up and Cesaro with a quick takedown on Rollins. Cesaro lifts Rollins up and connects with a gutwrench suplex. Cesaro with another takedown into a modified crossface when Rollins rolls to the outside to break it up. We see a shot of Stardust and The Ascension looking on at ringside. Rollins grabs the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and starts to head up the ramp as the referee starts the count. The referee gets to 8 and Rollins decides to slide back in. Cesaro with repeated uppercuts to Rollins, hits the ropes and connects with a dropkick. Cesaro attempts a Cesaro Swing and Rollins pulls himself out of the ring again. Rollins starts walking up the ramp when Cesaro runs out. Rollins pushes Cesaro into the guard railing and then sends Cesaro shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Rollins jumps back in the ring.

-Commercial Break-

We are back and we see Rollins connecting with a springboard flying knee on Cesaro inside the ring. We see another shot of the Stardust Section with Stardust and The Ascension at ringside. Rollins with boots to Cesaro in the corner. Cesaro tosses Rollins up to the top turnbuckle and connects with a dropkick that sends Rollins flying to the outside. Cesaro runs at Rollins and catches him with a big uppercut sending Rollins flying again! Cesaro tosses Rollins back in, Cesaro off the top turnbuckle with a flying cross body and Rollins kicks out after two. Cesaro counters a sunset flip by Rollins. Cesaro pulls Rollins up and Rollins kicks him in the head. Rollins with a superkick, cover and Cesaro kicks out after two. Rollins comes off the top turnbuckle, Cesaro avoids a shot, Cesaro with another big uppercut on Rollins, covers, Rollins kicks out and Cesaro gets a Crossface applied. Rollins tries to roll through and Cesaro keeps it locked in. Rollins slides himself back and gets his boots on the bottom rope to break up the submission. Rollins counters a lifting suplex by Cesaro in the corner and trips him up. Rollins with a Pedigree on Cesaro, hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.

Winner: Seth Rollins

Coming up later tonight: MizTV with special guests Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae.

Backstage, Renee Young is with The Miz. Miz said he just found out that Summer Rae is going to drop a bombshell tonight on his show.

Paige is on her way to the arena next.

-Commercial Break-

We are back and Paige is in the ring with a mic. We see video from Smackdown last week where Charlotte defeated Alicia Fox. After the match, Team Bella attacked Charlotte and Becky Lynch. Paige then ran out to help out Charlotte and Lynch and apologized backstage. We then see that Natalya was attacked backstage after Paige walked off.

Back in the ring, Paige said she has to address accusations that she would hurt someone as “sweet” as Natalya. She requests Charlotte and Becky Lynch come out now so she can explain herself. The WWE Divas Champion Charlotte and Lynch come to the ring and Paige thanks them for joining her. Paige talks about welcoming them to the main roster a few months ago. Lynch asks if she meant what she said that Charlotte only won the title because of who her father is or that she was irrelevant. Paige admits to jealousy, but says they are a family. Charlotte cuts off Paige and said she is trying to understand where she is coming from. She talks about sitting at home watching Paige win the championship and that she already had her moment. Charlotte adds, “You don’t respect me. And you can’t stand the fact that it isn’t about you.” Team Bella walks out to cut her off.

Nikki Bella said this was exactly what she was talking about backstage. Nikki said when she was champion, she didn’t let anything interfere with that. Brie said this looks like an episode of “Pretty Little Liars” out here. Nikki calls Paige “Baby Beetlejuice” and that she will get her title back this Sunday because she is more focused. Charlotte said Nikki can call it her title all she wants, but she is the actual champion and welcomes a match right here tonight. Paige said if Nikki wants Charlotte, she has to go through her first. Nikki accepts.

-Commercial Break-

Nikki Bella w/ Brie Bella & Alicia Fox vs. Paige w/ Charlotte & Becky Lynch

Lock up and Nikki quickly flips Paige away. Another lock up and Nikki with a big scoop slam on Paige. Nikki mocks Paige doing push ups. Paige with an arm drag and a scoop slam of her own on Nikki. Paige with a quick headbutt to Nikki. Paige with repeated knees to the chest of Nikki. Paige catches Nikki with a big knee to the mid section and gets a two count after a pinfall attempt. Nikki pulls down on the left arm of Paige from the corner to the mat. Nikki hooks the leg and Paige kicks out once again.

-Commercial Break-

We return as Nikki tosses Paige to the corner. Nikki pulls on the left arm of Paige from the outside using the ring for leverage. Nikki tosses the left arm of Paige across the steel ring post multiple times. Nikki with a snap takedown and then goes back to work on the left arm of Paige with repeated knees. Nikki drops Paige back on the mat on her head. Nikki slams Paige down on her left arm. Nikki ties up the left arm of Paige across her throat and throws elbows of her own. Paige counters out with a snapmare on Nikki and then big knees in the corner. Paige cuts off Nikki with a superkick. Nikki drops Paige off the second rope and gets a close roll up for two. Paige catches Nikki and connects with a fallaway slam. Nikki with a small package for another two count. Nikki with a big Alabama Slam on Paige, hooks the leg and Paige again kicks out. Nikki catches Paige with a big forearm to the head. Nikki gets Paige up and connects with the Rack Attack. Nikki hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.

Winner: Nikki Bella

MizTV with Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae

Miz talks about the love issues involving Dolph Ziggler, Rusev, Lana and Summer Rae. We see footage from RAW two weeks ago of Summer slapping Rusev. We then see footage from Smackdown where Summer acted as the special guest referee between Rusev and Ziggler. Miz introduces his guest tonight, Dolph Ziggler. Miz brings up what went down with Lana and Summer Rae. Ziggler said Lana can do whatever she wants and how Summer was just using Rusev. Miz said no matter how Ziggler wants to spin it, he drove Lana back into the arms of Rusev. Miz introduces his other guest tonight, Summer Rae. Summer said even if Dolph denies it, she thinks they had unbelievable chemistry and she knows now that she proposed to the wrong man. Ziggler cuts her and said he’s just not that into her. Summer said she actually came out here to move on and wants Dolph to see what a real man looks like.

NXT star Tyler Breeze walks out on the stage with his selfie stick in hand. A loud “NXT” chant breaks out. Breeze gets on the mic and says, “Clearly, I’m a man that needs no introduction.” He said it looks like Dolph has refused to move past 1985 based on his attire. Breeze introduces himself as the Sultan of Selfies. He said when he heard that his beautiful Summer Rae of sunshine was being mistreated by some “uggo”, he had no choice but to fly to Texas and be by her side. Breeze said they are going to give WWE a much needed facelift. Breeze and Summer take a selfie together and Breeze adds, “Prince Pretty has arrived.” Dolph goes to talk when Breeze attacks him. Ziggler tries to fight back when Breeze puts the selfie stick on the throat of Ziggler and drives it into the corner. Breeze continues the attack with right hands. WWE referees hit the ring to break it up.

Breeze with a spinning kick to the face of Ziggler to end his attack. He grabs his selfie stick and takes another selfie with Summer as they leave the ring and head to the back.

Later tonight: The New Day vs. Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose.

Sheamus & King Barrett w/ Rusev vs. The Lucha Dragons

We start with King Barrett and Sin Cara. Sin Cara with a moonsault and cross body takedowns on Barrett. Tag to Kalisto who is monkey flipped over Barrett. Tag back to Sin Cara who hits a senton splash for a two count. Barrett knocks Sin Cara off the top turnbuckle to the outside and tags in Sheamus. Sheamus drops down and sends Sin Cara back first into the ring barricade. Sheamus tosses Sin Cara back inside and hits a lifting knee. Barrett gets tag and stomps over Sin Cara. Barrett props Sin Cara over the top turnbuckle and drops forearms to the back. Barrett with a big knee to Sin Cara in the corner. Sin Cara fights back with a kick to the ribs. Tag to Sheamus and tag to Kalisto. Kalisto with a kick to the head of Sheamus and connects with a springboard huricanrana. Kalisto with body shots and then a spike-rana. Sin Cara dumps Barrett over the top rope. Sin Cara hits the ropes, leaps over and Rusev pushes Barrett out of the way. Kalisto flips over and takes out Rusev. Kalisto with a kick to the chest of Sheamus and then kicks Barrett away. Sheamus with the Brogue Kick on Kalisto.

Winners: Sheamus & King Barrett

We see footage from RAW with Roman Reigns attacking Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan with a steel chair. Dean Ambrose showed up to even the odds just as Braun Strowman was about to go on the attack. Later tonight Reigns and Ambrose will team up to take on The New Day.

-Commercial Break-

We are back and Bo Dallas is inside the ring with a mic in hand. He talks about John Cena holding an open challenge for the WWE United States Championship and he accepts on behalf of his Bo-mericans. Ryback’s music cuts him off.

Ryback vs. Bo Dallas

Ryback charges in on Dallas and connects with a quick scoop slam. Dallas cuts off Ryback with right hands. Ryback levels Dallas with a double sledgehammer shot to the chest. Dallas drops Ryback off the top rope and follows with a clothesline. We see a shot of WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens looking on from backstage. In the ring, Dallas has a headlock applied on Ryback. Ryback with a modified stunner to break it up on Dallas. Ryback with a big clothesline on Dallas and calls for the end. Ryback gets Dallas up for Shell Shocked and connects. Ryback hooks the leg of Dallas and gets the pinfall.

Winner: Ryback

Backstage, Renee Young walks up and talks with WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens who was shaking his head at watching Ryback. Owens talks about Ryback being a monster and a physical freak of nature. He said he’s not really any of those things yet, he’s the champion. He asks Young what she thinks. Young thinks being arrogant is a dangerous tool. Owens said this title didn’t exist until he held it and this Sunday he’s going to turn Hell in a Cell into the Kevin Owens show.

A video package runs looking at the recent history between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker starting at WrestleMania 30, SummerSlam in August and the upcoming match this Sunday at Hell in a Cell.

Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose are out next for our main event.

Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day

We start with Kofi Kingston and Dean Ambrose. Kofi and Big E are wearing black armbands in dedication to Xavier Woods. Lock up and Ambrose gets a headlock applied on Kofi. Ambrose with a shoulder block, catches Kofi and hits an atomic drop. Ambrose with chops, snapmare and a low clothesline shot on Kofi. Ambrose with a knee, dropkick and tags in Roman Reigns who hits a jumping clothesline on Kofi. Tag to Big E who yells, “You ain’t bad!” Lock up and Reigns with a headlock on Big E. Big E responds with a big shoulder block on Reigns taking him down. Reigns with a big right hand sending Big E to the corner. Reigns sends Big E face first into the turnbuckle, gets in a shot on Kofi and then Big E hits Reigns hard off the ring apron sending Reigns flying into the ring barricade as we head to a break.

-Commercial Break-

We return with Reigns kicking Big E in the face and avoiding a corner spear. Tag to Ambrose who hits jabs and chops on Big E. Ambrose dumps Big E over the top rope and then springboards himself over taking out Big E. Ambrose tosses Big E back inside and Kofi trips up Ambrose over the ring apron. Kofi gets the tag and kicks Ambrose in the face over the ring apron. Kofi tosses Ambrose back inside, hooks the leg and Ambrose kicks out. Tags between Big E and Kofi hitting repeated stomps over Ambrose. Kofi with a big corner kick to Ambrose. Kofi tries to keep Ambrose grounded when Ambrose stands up fighting back with elbows. Kofi drops Ambrose back down on the mat to cut him off. Kofi with his Boom Drop over Ambrose. Kofi misses his Trouble in Paradise, jumps up on the top turnbuckle, leaps at Ambrose and Ambrose moves. Hot tag to Reigns. Reigns with repeated clotheslines on Kofi. Reigns with more shots to Kofi in the corner and then a right hand to Big E on the ring apron. Reigns plants Kofi and Kofi rolls out of the ring. Reigns leaves the ring and hits his dropkick to the head of Big E. Reigns does the same to Kofi right over the top of the announce table! Reigns tosses Kofi back in, catches Kofi coming off the ropes, Kofi counters locking the arms of Reigns, Reigns kicks Big E away and a right hand to Kofi. Ambrose with a huge dropkick to Big E. Reigns and Ambrose clothesline Big E over the top rope. New Day starts to bail up the ramp and head to the back. The referee starts the count. We then see The Dudley’s chasing New Day back to the ring. Reigns with a Superman on Big E and then Ambrose with a leap over both members of New Day. Ambrose sends Kofi back in and clotheslines him over the top rope. Big E is back in and eats a clothesline from Ambrose. Reigns puts Big E on his shoulders, Ambrose goes up to the top turnbuckle, jumps and connects with a flying clothesline. Reigns with a Superman on Kofi. Reigns fires up in the corner and spears Kofi near the corner. Reigns hooks the legs of Kofi to get the pinfall.

Winners: Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose

After the match, we see a shot of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose celebrating on opposite turnbuckles. The lights go out and we see Bray Wyatt up on the screen humming to himself. Wyatt looks into the camera and says, “Remember Roman no matter how hard you try, you can’t outrun your fear…see you in hell Roman.” Wyatt laughs as Smackdown ends.
