WWE has announced its latest NXT Rookie Class on social media, including some notable names:
Mason Rook, who competed on the independent wrestling scene as Will Kroos, has been on NXT programming for a number of weeks, most recently teaming with X in a win over NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo and NXT North American Champion Myles Borne.
Lacey Simon, daughter of Dean Malenko, competed in Japan as Marie Malenko.
Nicole Martinez, who competed independently as Nikki Blackheart, made her WWE debut in a dark match taped at the WWE Performance Center on 5/19.
Bryan Alvarez previously reported on Blackheart’s WWE status, noting per F4WOnline that she was on WWE’s radar shortly after WrestleMania 41:
She was heavily praised by Bayley, so her tryout was basically a guarantee. That was this past February. She very recently moved to Orlando and is one of the few that have still yet to be officially announced by WWE, but all are officially in Orlando and under the typical starting PC/NXT contracts which are usually about three years.
Simon and Marcus Brown, a bodybuilder and fitness influencer with no prior wrestling experience, have yet to debut for WWE and NXT as of this writing.
