In an interview with SPORF, Ricochet was asked about the current involvement of Vince McMahon, who returned from ‘retirement’ to become executive chairman in early January, in the process of WWE Creative, considering Vince’s previous statements that he would not be “in the weeds” regarding the day-to-day operations of the company.
The former Intercontinental and United States Champion noted that McMahon was in fact involved quite a bit, comparing and contrasting Triple H’s handling of creative in the past year since taking over those responsibilities:
“Vince is still involved and Vince is still talked to. He’s still someone that everyone looks to, especially with creative. So he’s got his fingers in everything too.
I think Triple H and everybody in creative is just trying to do the best they can in bringing out the best in who they have. They’re trying to work to everyone’s strengths. I think that’s something that Triple H has always done.”
Ricochet will be a part of WWE Money in the Bank in its namesake ladder match, emanating from the O2 Arena in London, England on Saturday, July 1.
