TMZ has reported that Brooke Hogan has told those close to her she’s grateful for a final conversation with her late father, Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea.
Brooke was said to have learned of the passing from her husband, who received a text message from Nick Hogan.
Sources state that the father-daughter conversation came shortly before the WWE Hall of Famer’s marriage to Sky Daily in September 2023, with Brooke expressing deep love and concern for her father while telling him she didn’t think he should still be working so hard given his health.
Efforts to reach out from both Brooke and her husband were said to be met with a cold response from Hogan, with sources claiming he never made an effort to meet Brooke’s kids and only wanted a relationship with her under his own terms.
The pair were known to have a very rocky relationship long after Brooke’s appearances in WWE, TNA, and on the reality series Hogan/Brooke Knows Best.
The issues seemed to come to a head in July 2015, in the wake of remarks made by Hogan that revealed a number of problems he had with Brooke’s love life at the time.
Despite the friction between them over the years, those close to the situation noted that Brooke feels lucky and grateful to say “I love you” during their final conversation, and feels at peace knowing she did everything she could to protect and support him.
