TMZ Sports is reporting that former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was involved in a bad car accident last Thursday, just hours before the news broke on the passing of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan.
According to a crash report obtained by TMZ, McMahon was traveling in his 2024 Bentley going northbound on Route 15 in Westport when he hit the back of a 2023 BMW 430 and collided with a median wooden-beam guardrail.
As a result of the accident, local police issued McMahon with a misdemeanor summons for reckless driving and following too closely. He will have to appear in court next month.
The report also notes that debris from the collision flew into the left side of the two-lane highway and a Ford Fusion moving southbound, which then ran into it. The report further notes that the force of the impact was so severe, that it caused the airbags to deploy on McMahon’s Bentley and the BMW.
TMZ Sports added that all three drivers were wearing their seatbelts and that all three cars had to be towed from the scene. In addition, the median guardrail sustained roughly 30 feet of damage.
At the time of the report, McMahon’s representatives did not respond for comment to TMZ Sports.
