Triple H on WWE/ESPN deal, Brock Lesnar’s return

WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque appeared on Wednesday’s episode of Get Up on ESPN.

Triple H spoke on the new WWE/ESPN $1.6 billion, five-year deal that will see all PLE’s move to ESPN’s new $29.99 per month streaming platform in April 2026. The $1.6 billion is $325 million per year for WWE. The deal with Peacock is up in March 2026, ending that five-year deal that reportedly was worth $900 million. International fans that have Netflix will still be able to watch WWE PLE’s.

Triple stated the PLE’s on ESPN will be more of a spectacle than they have been.

“There’s nothing bigger, there’s no bigger opportunity for us than this right now…Nick and I have been thinking about it for a long time, of it is the right home for it. It’s something that we’ve been trying to work through for a long time. Jimmy Pitaro making it happen, it’s thrilling for us. Can’t be more excited…from my point of view, nobody does large-scale, massive events like ESPN. Super Bowl, all of it, right? It’s what you do. And it’s what we like to think we do better than anybody else on the planet,” he said. “So this is the perfect marriage. When we get together, things like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble are going to be bigger than ever. They’re going to be more of a spectacle than ever before. And we’re going to light the world on fire.”

In addition, Triple H addressed the return of Brock Lesnar to WWE at SummerSlam Night Two. A statement from a spokesperson representing Janel Grant noted his return is an attempt to sweep misconduct under, which will backfire. Lesnar is mentioned only as a former UFC Champion in the suit, which alleges alleges that she was offered to Lesnar sexually in order to entice him to sign a new WWE contract, under Vince McMahon’s leadership.

“Have you met Brock? Whatever the hell he wants. When you’re Brock Lesnar, you sort of can – when that music hits and you walk down that aisle, doesn’t matter where he is, he sort of does what he wants to do. So we’re thrilled to have The Beast back. You know, we hit him up and said, ‘Time to come home.’ And he was into it, and here we are. A massive, massive moment for our WWE fans, something that they thought they wouldn’t get to see. And making a statement with John Cena. You know, huge and we’re thrilled to have him back.”
