In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail, Sky Daily, the widow of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, plans to sue doctors for what could be possible medical malpractice that resulted in her husband’s death.
Hogan (Terry Bollea), passed away back on July 24, 2025 from what was deemed as a heart attack.
Sky told the publication (Daily Mail), the main focus of any possible legal action, is the neck surgery Hogan had months before his passing, which could have been a contributing factor to his death.
Sky also notes that her husband’s phrenic nerve, which controls the ability to breathe was ‘compromised’ during the operation this past May, leaving him with breathing difficulties in the months leading up to his heart stopping. She told the publication, “We are investigating for possible malpractice. If you have shortness of breath for a long time, that makes you very sick. It’s not something that’s an alarming (sudden) cause of death. It’s something that wears on you, makes you weak.”
When asked if this was a contributor to Hogan’s death, Sky said “Definitely.” She also revealed that she will be cremating her husband’s body, as they are wrapping up the medical investigation.
Also according to the same report, an unnamed occupational therapist at the Bollea home said when Hogan stopped breathing, reportedly told the authorities, Hogan’s nerve was ‘severed’ during the operation. Sky added the nerve was not sliced through, but it was left damaged.
Daily Mail further adds in their report, they can exclusively reveal the therapist is 54-year-old Justin McCamey, who has a three-bedroom home in Land O’Lakes, Florida, about 45 minutes from Hogan’s home. When Daily Mail arrived at his home to speak with him, they said he answered the door, but denied he was McCamey, saying ‘No’ several times before shutting the door. In addition, Daily Mail states, his wife Tara, said ‘Justin has gone away. Things aren’t good right now.’
Sky notes McCamey spoke with local police and that he did obtain information from medical records. She also added that she has known about the compromised nerve “for a while” and that “it’s not brand new information”, further stating everything about Hogan’s neck surgery “has been documented from when he was alive. So there’s nothing that happened right before he passed.”
Sky also put to rest conspiracy theories surrounding her husband’s death, including those who said his personal physician, Dr. Gerald Fitzgerald may have over-prescribed or drugged him.
