WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler suffers third stroke, is on the road to recovery

We had reported on Wednesday that WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler had pulled out of appearances and signings, due to health issues.

Per a report from TMZ Sports, the health issue was due to Lawler suffering another stroke.

TMZ Sports notes Lawler’s daughter said her dad suffered the stroke at one of his homes in Florida last Friday. It was added that Lawler’s daughter will be taking him back to his primary residence, where he will be on the road to recovery, resting up for a few more weeks before getting back to normal.

The report further notes that Lawler had initially been scheduled to appear at HorrorHound Weekend in Cincinnati, Ohio starting this Friday. However, the event’s organizers announced on Monday that he would not be able to attend “due to some personal matters.”

Per sources, including ESPN, the 75-year old Lawler suffered his first stroke back in 2018 and then his second in 2023. That stroke sent him to the hospital for a few days stay in the ICU. He was able to return home where he did outpatient rehabilitation.

During a live episode of Raw in 2012, he suffered a heart attack while at the commentary table.

Wrestleview wishes Lawler a speedy recovery.
