Jerry Lawler “grateful for the love and support” after third stroke

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler spoke with FOX13 in Memphis on Monday following his recent stroke, which was his third. He had a stroke in 2018 and another in 2023. The 75-year old Lawler suffered a minor stroke two-weeks ago at his condo in Florida, which forced him to pull out of appearances and autograph signings.

Lawler told FOX13’s Valerie Calhoun that he had been not taking his medication days leading up to the stroke. He also said that as a result of this last stroke, he had issues with his vision and that he did not even recognizing his own house when arrived there.

He further added that he feels, “pretty good.”

“I remember lying in the bed in the hospital and when people that I knew, like family members, came in and I didn’t even recognize them. People kept coming out of nowhere to thank me and to pray for me. All of that means such a great, great deal to me and I want to thank them for all that.”

Lawler emphasized that he is going to concentrate on recovering and also pointed out he is now taking his medication.
