Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Stephanie McMahon appeared at the Oval Office on Tuesday, to be present as President Donald Trump signed executive orders relating to the use of AI for helping with treatments for child cancer.
Stephanie spoke about her and WWE’s relationship with Connor Michalek, the young fan who fought lost his battle with cancer and passed away in 2014.
“Kids shouldn’t even know what cancer is, let alone have to face it. And this incredible team believes that too. This executive order makes kids with cancer the first focus of AI innovation across health care in America,” she said. “If there is one thing in the world that could bring us together, please let it be our children because I can almost guarantee if your child was diagnosed with cancer, you wouldn’t care what party your doctor belonged to, you would just want the best. And President Trump is doing just that, enabling every child with cancer gets the best care possible. And we couldn’t be more grateful.”
In June 2014, Levesque and McMahon founded Connor’s Cure in Michalek’s memory, a non-profit charitable organization for pediatric cancer research. Connor was given the inaugural Warrior Award at the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony.
Levesque and Stephanie are also part of the President Trump’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition.
