After being a part of Netflix’s Christmas Day NFL coverage, WWE’s Seth Rollins is scheduled to be part of the broadcast team for the streaming service’s “Skyscraper Live” event.
The event will see climber Alex Honnold make an attempt to climb the building Taipei 101 in Taiwan, which is one of the world’s tallest buildings. Honnold will have no ropes, no safety net and no second takes, according to a synopsis of the show. The event will stream live on Friday, January 23, at 8:00 pm ET, going head-to-head with SmackDown, which airs on the USA Network in the US and Netflix for international subscribers.
Veteran sports anchor Elle Duncan who previously spent eight years at ESPN, anchoring SportsCenter and hosting coverage across college and professional basketball, including WNBA Countdown and College GameDay, will serve as the host for the live event.
Also joining Rollins will be engineer, inventor, and science communicator Mark Rober who is best known for making complex ideas accessible through curiosity-driven storytelling and also is a former NASA engineer and Pete Woods who is n international climbing commentor with more than 30 years experience in the sport of climbing.
Rollins is currently out with with a shoulder injury, but is hoping to be back for WrestleMania 42.
