During the 1/15 edition of TNA IMPACT, Santino Marella cut a promo hyping up the promotion’s debut on AMC and the actions of his daughter Arianna Grace, before welcoming a new assistant…Daria Rae.
Rae, who competed in WWE as Sonia Deville, went to the ring to thank Marella and the fans before eventually turning on them as recapped by Jerome Wilen in his live coverage of the show:
Daria says the one thing this company does not need is Santino and doesn’t need his stupid jokes. The company needs structure, professionalism. Daria tells Santino to shut up as he tries to interrupt her. Daria says she has done this before and she can do the job better than Santino can. Daria tells the fans to shut up when she is talking. The fans boo her. She says after her first official business she signed a new Knockout to TNA…Elayna Black!
Black, who competed in WWE as Cora Jade, previously made appearances in TNA as part of the ongoing partnership between the promotions.
