Former WWE champion makes ‘Killer’ debut on AEW Dynamite

During the 1/28 edition of AEW Dynamite, Mark Briscoe successfully defended the TNT Championship against El Clon before issuing an open challenge for his upcoming defense on the 1/31 edition of Collision.

Noting that he would not defend against anyone in the Don Callis Family so he can look ahead to new contenders, Briscoe’s challenge would be answered by none other than Tommaso Ciampa, as recapped by Jerome Wilen in his live coverage of the show:

Ciampa walks out to a huge ovation as Briscoe looks concerned. Ciampa runs to the run as the huge ovation continues! Ciampa enters the ring, as we get a “holy s—” chant. Ciampa tells Briscoe he is coming for hm on Saturday, then kisses Mark and walks out of the ring. Ciampa hops on the announce table, as he looks at Briscoe signaling his time is coming. Ciampa leaves for the back, while waving at Briscoe.

The match was quickly made official as the former NXT Champion and “Psycho Killer” challenges Mark Briscoe for the TNT Champion at AEW Collision, emanating from Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Texas.

AEW CEO, President and General Manager also announced on X, that Ciampa is officially All Elite!
