AEW has posted highlight videos, featuring the two championship matches that took place on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite.
Kyle Fletcher defeated Tommaso Ciampa, to become a two-time TNT Champion. Ciampa had won the title from Mark Briscoe back on the January 31 episode of Collision. After the match, Fletcher issued an open challenge to anyone from anywhere.
Former TNT champion Mark Briscoe came out to answer Fletcher’s challenge. Briscoe and Fletcher each hold three wins a piece over each other. The new champion suggested their seventh battle be a ladder match for the title, then accepted Briscoe’s challenge.
AEW will air the 2 1/2 hour Grand Slam Australia special from Fletcher’s hometown of Sydney on a tape delay this Saturday night at 8:00 pm ET on TNT and HBO Max.
Thekla is the new AEW Women’s World Champion, having defeated Kris Statlander for the title in a hard fought and blooding strap match.
Statlander won the title in a 4-Way Match at the September 20, 2025 All Out pay-per-view in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The match included “Timeless” Toni Storm, who was the reigning and defending champion, Jamie Hayter and Thekla.
