On the 6/3 edition of AEW Dynamite, Alex Windsor faced a “Wild Card” entry in a women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament quarterfinal match.
The gap in the tournament, created after Willow Nightingale was forced to withdraw and subsequently vacate her TBS Championship due to injury, was filled by the return of Mercedes Moné.
This marks the first match in AEW for last year’s Owen winner and former TBS Champion since losing the latter to Nightingale at the New Year’s Smash edition of Dynamite in December 2025, later announcing she was taking time off.
That loss began a string of title changes, removing the many championships “Ultimo Moné” held before later vacating her remaining titles.
As recapped by Roy Nemer in his live coverage of the show, a back and forth bout saw Moné defeat Windsor via submission with the Statement Maker to advance to the semifinals.
