Fightful Select has provided details as to why Ricky Saints’ concert segment from last Tuesday’s NXT is can’t be located on any of WWE’s official social media channels.
During the March 3 episode of NXT, Saints performed his own live convert, which WWE promoted as “The Ricky Saints Absolute Experience.” The report notes that despite the concert being similar to that of Joe Hendry and The Rock, it drew negative feedback on social media, which is why WWE made the decision to pull it down.
NXT sources close to Fightful Select claimed the segment was not Saints’ creative pitch or idea. It was added that Saints has been trying to steer clear from anything that could have his character’s on-screen compared to The Rock.
Fightful Select further notes in their report that the segment received a lukewarm reaction backstage, and there’s no concern about Hendry or Saints being able to move forward. It also added that it was also believed Hendry and Saints recovered well after their match at Vengeance Day, which saw Hendry successfully defend the NXT Title against Saints.
