Following an incident that saw CM Punk swat away a fan’s phone after WrestleMania 42, the fan has responded requesting an apology from the former World Heavyweight Champion.
Speaking with TMZ Sports under the condition of anonymity, the fan says he understands Punk “wasn’t having the greatest weekend” after losing the title to Roman Reigns, claiming he is trying to show Punk grace:
I want an apology — shake my hand — I’m not gonna sue him or put him in jail. I just want an apology.
The incident came when the fan approached Bayley and AJ Lee in the lobby of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino shortly after midnight, with some accounts noting that the fan asked Lee for a selfie and attempted to grab her for a hug despite being denied.
This marked one of several incidents during the weekend.
