TMZ Sports has posted a video of CM Punk swatting away the phone of a fan who was attempting to film Bayley after midnight on Monday, inside the lobby of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Punk stepped up into the face of the fan before slapping down his phone. Security then came in to defuse the situation, as Punk gave a cold stare at the man, who became so terrified, he ran off while apologizing to a great degree.
Punk lost the WWE World Heavyweight Title to Roman Reigns in the main event of Sunday’s WrestleMania 42 Night Two, at Allegiant Stadium in nearby Paradise. Bayley and her tag team partner, Lyra Valkyria were unsuccessful in capturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships in a fatal 4-way match on Saturday (Night One). The titles were won by Brie Bella and the returning Paige, who pinned Alexa Bliss after hitting with a RamPaige.
Fans harassing or stalking WWE talent at hotels and airports has been an issue. Just this past June, Florida resident Shawn Chan was arrested outside of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando for stalking Liv Morgan. In August of last year, Rhea Ripley was mobbed by fans, while trying to get into an uber vehicle in Paris, as the company was in the country for the Clash in Paris PLE.
However, it is not just WWE talent that experience issues with fans attempting to invade their privacy, this past October, AEW’s Dax Harwood revealed on social media he and his family were being stalked, threatened or verbally attacked by an individual on Instagram. Harwood noted at the time that law enforcement was working with AEW to resolve the issue.
