WWE star Chelsea Green has announced she will be returning to tonight’s SmackDown at the Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, South Carolina, following a recent heart procedure.
She and real-life husband Matt Cardona attended the Thursday night premiere of the new Star Wars “Mandalorian and Grogu” movie in Los Angeles, before flying to South Carolina.
Green underwent a procedure a few weeks back to fix an abnormal type of heart rhythm known as SVT or supraventricular tachycardia. She apparently had this issues for several years. However, doctors did not catch it until last month after her heart rate hit up to 228 beats per minute for 15-minutes straight.
Green was kept out of action initially with a broken and chipped ankle she suffered during a the February 6 episode of SmackDown in a match against Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend. However, despite the injury, she remained on WWE programming wearing a walking boot.
During her recovery period from the heart procedure, Green posted a video to social media, continuing her storyline where she is attempting to make friends Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, even thought to date, Stratton has refused.
