WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select on Thursday reported WWE is considering a “more extensive winter loop”, which could take place later this year based on the success of the already scheduled 10 events in July and August. It was also said that the financial success of the shows and the impact on health of talent is something that is going be monitored.
The report also notes “select main event talent” were approached about working the events and given the choice to accept or decline and that between 25 and 30 talent are expected per each live event.
This past Tuesday, it was reported by PWInsider that during a WWE Town Hall Meeting Paul Levesque and Nick Khan said they have discovered house shows are not only an important method for talent to get reps in the ring, but also can be used as a means of experimenting with different things in front of fans and not a television audience.
PWInsider further added the house shows would see a mix of younger talent getting more experience in front of a live crowd with already established main roster talent, while at the same time, stressing they desire to find the right balance, so there is less risk of injuries.
