WWE Hall of Famer and AEW broadcaster Jim Ross noted on his May 20 podcast Grilling JR, that he is currently going through the process of being evaluated for dementia/Alzheimer’s.
The 74-year-old Ross also noted he had a “very positive” appointment with his neurologist, but doctors are still putting him through some tests. Ross added he is approaching all this with a positive mindset and will do whatever the doctors recommend. Ross further stated that knowing there is no cure, he does not know yet what the treatment plan would be. .
“I had a very positive doctor’s appointment with my neurologist. Everybody’s getting in on the act, man. So the neurologist and I had an appointment and they took a bunch of blood and ran some tests. You know, I think they’re worried about dementia or Alzheimer’s. And I said, ‘What the hell are you going to do about it?’ It’s not a cure. You know, if there’s meds I could be taking preventively, tell me what they are and I’ll do it. We’ll see how it works out. I’m going through a lot of tests now. I don’t feel bad at all. I feel great, actually. But you know, Conrad, let me tell you something buddy. Getting old is a bitch.”
Ross will be at the AEW Double or Nothing PPV this Sunday at Louis Armstrong Stadium in New York to provide commentary.
