AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT Ratings: Viewership way up for both shows, AEW wins

AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings for May 27, 2020 are now in.

AEW Dynamite, going head-to-head against WWE NXT, drew an average of 827,000 viewers on Wednesday night according to a report by Showbuzzdaily.com.

This is up from last week’s show that drew an average of 701,000 viewers on TNT. Dynamite came in at No. 4 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, up from No. 7 where they placed last week.

This week’s episode of NXT drew an average of 731,000 viewers on Wednesday night.

This is up from last week’s show that averaged 592,000 viewers. NXT came in at No. 24 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, up from No. 53 where they placed last week.

In overall viewership, AEW Dynamite defeated WWE NXT in the twenty-second head-to-head battle of 2020 in the “Wednesday Night War” by 96,000 viewers.

Demographic Ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT

WWE NXT, headlined by Matt Riddle vs. Timothy Thatcher, averaged a 0.19 rating among adults 18-49. This is up from the 0.13 rating they had last week.

AEW Dynamite, headlined by a confrontation with Chris Jericho and Mike Tyson, averaged a 0.32 rating among adults 18-49. This is up from the 0.26 rating they had last week.
