Match removed from AEW Dark due to wrestler's racist and homophobic slurs

AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes announced Saturday that the AEW Dark match between Clutch Adams and Shawn Spears which was part in this coming week’s show has been removed.

The match was removed after it was recently revealed on Twitter that Adams has a history of making racist and homophobic slurs.

Cody then followed up with a response indicating that the match has been removed.  

It should also be noted that Clutch Adams’ Twitter account has since been changed or deleted.

Below is the updated AEW Dark lineup that will stream this Tuesday on AEW’s YouTube Channel beginning at 7:00 pm ET/4:00 pm PT.

– Billy Gunn (w/Austin Gunn} vs. John Skyler.

– Brandon Cutler and Peter Avalon (w/Leva Bates) vs. QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes (w/Brandi Rhodes).

– The Butcher and The Blade (w/The Bunny) vs. Jon Cruz and Joe Alonzo.

– Proud-N-Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) vs. Big Game Leroy and EJ Lewis.
