AEW announced yesterday that they would begin selling tickets to fans for upcoming live tapings of AEW Dynamite.
The company announced that they will release tickets that will put them within 10%-15% of the capacity of Daily’s Place, which would be about 550-825 people in the 5,500 seat open air amphitheater. Fans will be placed in physically distanced seating pods available in groups of two, three, four, and six around the venue.
After tickets went on sale today, problems arose with people buying pods and then trying to split them on secondary ticket resale sites.
AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter to address the issue, saying the company will police the issue and cancel the full order if they discover pods being split on websites and when they come in-person. Those that purchased those tickets on the websites that they believe was part of a larger pod will be offered remediation by the company if possible.
Thank you to all of the great wrestling fans who support AEW! Here is my full statement regarding the illegal and unethical outdoor seating pod splitting on the secondary ticket resale market, a move by predatory online ticket resellers which won’t work and won’t be tolerated: pic.twitter.com/CTC2ETNviA
