AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT Ratings: Both shows down in against VP debate and sports

AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings for October 7, 2020 are now in.

AEW Dynamite, going head-to-head against WWE NXT, drew an average of 753,000 viewers on Wednesday night according to a report by Showbuzzdaily.com.

This is down from last week’s show that drew an average of 866,000 viewers on TNT. Dynamite came in at No. 19 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, down from No. 12 where they placed last week.

This week’s episode of NXT drew an average of 639,000 viewers on Wednesday night.

This is down from last week’s show that averaged 732,000 viewers. NXT came in at No. 56 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, down from No. 50 where they placed last week.

In overall viewership, AEW Dynamite defeated WWE NXT in the “Wednesday Night War” by 114,000 viewers.

Overall viewership for both shows was at 1.392 million average viewers, down from 1.598 million viewers that watched last week. It should be noted that coverage of the Vice Presidential Debate dominated most cable news networks. The MLB Playoffs also ran against the shows.

Demographic Ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT

WWE NXT, headlined by Ember Moon’s in-ring return, averaged a 0.16 rating among adults 18-49. This is down from the 0.19 rating they had last week.

AEW Dynamite, featuring a Dog Collar Match, averaged a 0.31 rating among adults 18-49. This is down from the 0.33 rating they had last week.
