AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT Ratings: Dynamite is #2 show on cable for second week

AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings for December 9, 2020 are now in.

AEW Dynamite, going head-to-head against WWE NXT, drew an average of 995,000 viewers on Wednesday night according to a report by Showbuzzdaily.com.

This is up from last week’s show that drew an average of 913,000 viewers on TNT. Dynamite came in at No. 2 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, which is where they placed last week.

This week’s episode of NXT drew an average of 659,000 viewers on Wednesday night.

This is up from last week’s show that averaged 658,000 viewers. NXT came in at No. 37 for the night on cable in the 18-49 demographics, up from No. 40 where they placed last week.

In overall viewership, AEW Dynamite defeated WWE NXT in the “Wednesday Night War” by 336,000 viewers.

Overall viewership for both shows was at 1.654 million average viewers, up from 1.571 million viewers that watched last week.

Demographic Ratings for AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT

WWE NXT, featuring the return of Karrion Kross, averaged a 0.17 rating among adults 18-49. This is up from the 0.16 rating they had last week.

AEW Dynamite, featuring appearances by Sting and Shaq, averaged a 0.45 rating among adults 18-49. This is up from the 0.42 rating they had last week.
