AEW Chief Brandi Officer Brandi Rhodes and Paige Van Zant got into a big brawl during Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite, live from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Rhodes cut an in-ring promo bad-mouthing Chicago, until she was interrupted by American Top Team’s Dan Lambert, Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page, in which Lambert made fun of Brandi. She told Page that AEW only hired him because they wanted his former tag team partner, Josh Alexander, from IMPACT Wrestling. She then mocked Lambert.
This all led to Van Zant coming to the ring and going after Brandi. The two women brawled, until other female members from the AEW locker room ran down to the ring to break it up.
Brandi took to Twitter later in the evening calls the Chicago fans “trash” for cheering Van Zant and her “big headed Daddy Dan.”
During Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho announced an Inner Circle Team Meeting for next week’s show. He emphasized that attendance is mandatory. Over the past several weeks on Dynamite and Rampage, Eddie Kingston’s friendship with Santana and Ortiz has created issues with Santana, Ortiz and Jericho.
Also on next week’s show live from Atlantic City, NJ at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, will feature a Texas Death Match with Adam “Hangman” Page defending against Lance Archer.
