According to Malakai Black on his Universal Wrestling Podcast, Darius Martin’s recent injury is from of a “nasty car accident.”
“He had a really nasty car accident. He’s out for, like, six to nine months.”

Fightful Select had reported last month that Martin was out of action due to a leg injury. Soon after the report, Martin would take to Twitter to say what he is dealing with has nothing to do with wrestling, implying that he was not injured.
This is the second time in 14 months Martin has been out for what will be an extended period of time. He suffered a torn ACL last February and then returned on March 2, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite.
